Aww! on the bright side at least it didn't just close and that was it! At least you will still have a store and you never know it might be really good! :wink:  

There's only one store in the whole of ireland and it's pretty small, definately no room for large window displays anyway but it's my favourite shop in the whole of ireland   hehe!

Cardiff is my closest shop and when dinsey where doing the around the world in  the cardiff store there wern't any adult clothes. But my aunt did managed to get the last disney villains desighner doll Queen of Hearts which made me very happy.

I'm not familiar with Disney stores as we don't have them here- but I wonder if you can book your trip DLRP in these shops?

I have been told that the store in Cheltenham is closing but after looking at the pictures it has the same 'Retro and Dated' look of this store. I am starting to think that they are actually just closing it for refurb.
Does and one else have any more info on this ?

no you cant book your trips in store that has to be through the regular holiday booking methods (online/travel agency) but i do believe that at one point and certainly in the larger stores you can buy park tickets for disney world... but not dlp

Good ol' Disney Store!  
I was so sorry when I heard that they planned to close The Disney Store in Cambridge. I understand the closest one is now Milton Keyenes or Oxford Street. Such a shame, but i'm led to believe high rent caused them to close.

Years ago there was one in Bromley, Kent and the staff used to greet you at the 'door' (it wasnt as cheesy as it sounds)and had fab looking uniforms, that didnt last long, the meet and greet soon stopped. It was a nice touch then, as no other shop at that time did that.

i should try and get some pictures of my local disney store when the moved it into a (supposedly) bigger store they included this lovely castle area in the princess section and there are projectors dotted around projecting animations onto the walls its a lovely store but it does feel a little small sometimes =]

I must say though, I liked the previous store on Oxford Street a lot better, then the new one.
They also moved to another location on the street, and it has the same look every store is going for now.

It's so dark now.
The old look was so colorfull and happy.

looks like a fantastic disney store. we had a 2 floor store in bristol up untill about 5 years ago but it closed down. there is still one in bristol but its difficult for me to get to as no busses go out that way. but i could always make a special trip to cardiff, its only a while away on the train!  /

Aren't there two in Bristol?  One at Cribbs and one at Cabot?  Though I heard a rumour Cabot was gonna close

I recently found my pics of the opening of the first Disney Store in London, I have a feeling it was on Regent Street though.  Judging by the age of my son in the pics im guessing it was from around 1995.
True Disney style opening, thousands of helium balloons released and huge crowds, Minnie and Mickey were the stars, naturally.
