No, the 'new version of the parade' has been postponed to a date in september. The exact date is not yet confirmed, but at the moment it's scheduled to run tests after the summer season. That's good news for all you fans of the show on Place des Stars. It will stay for the time being. I'm for one are very happy to see it again in august!

How is it changing?

They are going to transform Stars 'n' Cars into a 'real parade', which will run from Toon Studio all the way through Backlot, like the Cinema Parade in the early years. The show-part on Place des Stars will be cancelled. More characters and performers will be added, two show-stops will be performed alongside the paraderoute and probably extra cars. All rumours at the moment, but change is coming to Stars 'n' Cars.

This is such a welcome change in my eyes, the old Cinema Parade was something which made the park feel less bodged job and more Disney in it's early days, every true Disney park needs a good parade, but SnC's V1 just didn't fill the parade gap for me.

Cinema Parade was so good when it was in it's prime, one of the best, and then this just didn't live up to it's expectations. Hopefully adding more cars, performers and making it feel like a spectacle, not a show with an identity crisis will help to return the parade route to a path of Disney magic!

Little details make the park, hopefully this is a sign that things will begin to change for the better!

Good point, what do we know about the 20th? So far it's only jack sparrow inPOTC, and I think I saw somewhere that they are working on a new dlp parade( is this just a rumour). This would look good as a new thing

According to members on DCP the redesign of the show has been scrapped and it will be staying the same.

I've just caught a video of the new Universal Singapore parade, it's kind of a hybrid of DOUAD, the original Cinema Parade and SnC. I really like parts of it (the Jurassic Park section is just brilliant!) but the energy seems to be lacking.

However, take the aspects of each float representing a movie from the park, re-use some of the cars as space fillers and increase the amount of dancers and this concept is something that could work at Studios well I think!

The show has gone, i haven't been back this year yet but I believe the show has gone, and now there is just a parade of Cars.

I think the parade doesn't stop anymore, it just passes really quickly through Production Courtyard and Toon Studio. You can meet Ariel in the Princess Pavillion or in Auberge de Cendrillon, but she also shows up at random in Fantasyland. I don't know about Jasmine, probably she's also in the Princess Pavillion.

As the season goes on and it gets lighter in the evenings the parades are shown later, Disney use this as a ploy to keep as many people in the parks as possible. You can therefore expect Stars and cars to be this time or later during the coming months.
