Yes!  But it's quite hard to explain I guess.  You really have to do the ride to judge it!!  :D

Those pics are so cool to see, looks like Vin Diesel enjoyed himself :D .  Suppose minor stars like Miss France had to be there  .  Still good to see they had some more major stars to California's Adevntures ToT opening last year  .  Plus those lighting effects look so nice, they really have created a good grand opening of the relaunch of the coaster :D .

Yes these pictures are great. It's very nice to see that they had done something good and special for the opening.  :)

Thanks for putting those photos online. :D  The VIP Press Event looked really really nice.  Much better than I was expecting, and the fireworks look amazing...

See here for more photos: http://www.dlp.info/Guide/News-And-Rumo ... -Event.asp

Me too, even just a small ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mickey would be nice...  :)

And look!  They haven't forgotten about Jules Verne...

The celebration started in earnest after dusk when Jules Verne himself invited guests to make the next step into the future he always envisioned. Having been the mastermind behind the journey to the moon, which guests could join since 1995 he proclaimed it to be time to make the next step, the step to the outer boundaries of the universe.

Yes, so the guy playing him looks really creepy, but IT'S JULES VERNE!!! In Discoveryland!  In 2005!!!  :D

There are lots of videos featuring SM:M2 here: http://www.funradio.fr/fun-radio/fanta.asp

It looks like the morning show of the radio station had a special morning there, with the presenters and some extra people testing out the ride...

Was David Beckham there??!  That's what I've just read on Sven's castmember diary...

If so, why haven't we heard more about this?  He's way bigger in Europe than Vin Diesel!  He gets much more press coverage anyway...

The fact that I haven't heard *anything* about this anywhere else makes me think it's a mistake though...  :?
