Opening Date: 9th April 2005 (now open!)
Location: Space Mountain - "reloaded" attraction.
Attraction Type: Rollercoaster in the dark; revamped and reloaded existing attraction with new effects

Test Missions Continue

They look great, don't they? So much more beautiful than the old tacky looking trains (don't hit me!), and the Mission 2 logos look very nice indeed. To the untrained (non-fan's) eye they could even be seen as new trains, they just look so expensive and high quality now!

Let's just hope the on board soundsystem is up to the same quality now... :wink:[/b]

I don't seem to remember the SM trains having this before, yet the RNRC trains do. Since SM:M2 is meant to be getting a RNRC-style soundsystem, maybe it's part of that?

And also today, the Fastpass arch is up!!! And it looks sooo beautiful! =D> =D>

Is that a new cover for the entrance CM? Also, does anyone think that they might re-route the Fastpass queue this time?

I believe the 2 Imagineers were talking about a different route for the fastpass line during the Last Chance fan event! I should digitalize that movie one of these days....

Oh really? Great! It'd be nice if they did change it somehow so that you get more of a build up from the Fastpass queue than the old boring, empty corridors before you get to the observatory-type rooms.

Also, in the concept art it does show two queues going in the same direction - though I do believe that is infact after the Fastpass line joins the normal queue anyway, so there might not be too much hope in there...

They really need to sort the Fastpass queue though, since it's something that really lets the ride down, especially when they decide to collect tickets at the top of the steps and so allow everyone to wait for their time on the steps... :evil:

IMO the old queue for SM was really terrible. OK, so you got to see into the ride which was quite cool, but this just didn't make any sense within the story and the queue always looked boring and annoying - especially with that horrible 2second instruction video with the siren on repeat. :evil:

I love the use of colours and the very daring use of bright red in there. It looks VERY expensive, VERY impressive and VERY in keeping with the theme.

It doesn't look finished yet though - there's all them wires hanging out and I think the white writing of "Space Mountain" is yet to be finished. In the concept art it's shown as a pale yellowy colour, a bit lighter than the colour of the mountain roof.

WOW I thought it would be another bad advertising job, and yet not well done Euro Disney, shame us Brits don't get much advertisment for it :lol: .

I really really like it! It's got information about the 1day/1night free, and it's very good that they're translating it fully into each language. That's a lot of work and a lot of effort DLRP are putting in, and I think it might just pay off with the finished result as good as it is.

I think ours should be starting soon really. They're running the 50th Ads here at the moment still, so I think once they're over they should start advertising SM:M2 here. It really is a packed year for DLRP advertising already, so they probably had trouble working out what to play when.

I would like to see some SM:M2 advertising in the UK within the next fortnight at least, though I think all we'll get are the cinema and tv ads. DLRP never really use billboards here since they probably aren't quite as effective as they are in Paris/France.

The new Mission 2 advert is running here in Belgium a lot on television. I also found a lot of advertising stuff at a local travel agency. I'll post pics later!

Cool! Do you have anything in your Sping/Summer brochure advertising it? In the UK we just got about a line of text about it on the inside cover, but I've read that in France they got a whole double page spread featuring it... :?

Hopefully UK advertising will pick up soonish!

Looks like that travel agent has gone Mission 2 and Wishes mental :lol: . I don't think I have ever seen a travel agent advertise so much Disneyland Resort Paris before. Why everyone but the British get a decent amount of SM M2 advertising is beyond me, I mean all we ever get in travel agent windows is a small banner, and so far absolutely nothing in any travel agents I have walked past :evil: Really I think over here DLRP should stop thinking of the 50th for a while, and start concentrating on SM M2 then some people may even understand what the hell I am looking at in college on the internet instead of them asking me yet another load of questions like I am some type of weirdo. :lol: .
