Ratatouille closed for refurbishment

 :o Have just heard ratatouille will be closed from August for 4 months, if true does anybody know when in August ?

No I haven´t heard about it but the last time I was in Paris, last October, the floor of the ride was horrible the smoothness was gone hopefully the redo the surface.

Yeah they need to close it for major work to fix the floor. It says August to December but no current date given. The closures calendar currently goes up to mid August without it being mentioned although that's not to say it won't be added.

Possible it'll be the from the last week when Summer season is drawing to a close? Would make sense but I suppose it depends on how urgent the work is.

Would this be the first long refurb for the attraction? Can't remember it having one before. Guess it needs doing, and perhaps whilst they're at it, they can add/test any new effects planned for the EPCOT version.

Hmm - its a pretty new attraction, if the floor is that damaged already that it needs a major 4 month refurb, that's a pretty big design flaw... hope they can work out a good proper solution - especially as they are planning on bringing it to Florida as well!

Yeah the DLP website has an overall list of closures and a day by day one with closures and park times. The day by day one currently goes up to Aug 20th and can be found here.

Just checked the Disney site and ....

Ratatouille closes on August 27th - Bank Holiday Monday.

So I might just brave the queues during the week before to get my first ride!!

The closing of Ratatouille has been postponed, as reported by ED92 on Twitter.

The extensive refurbishment (mainly to fix the floors) of “Ratatouille: The Aventure” has been postponed.
The attraction will now only close from Monday October 2 to Friday October 12.
