In September we booked a room at the Seqouia using our AP. They only asked for one number even though it was a room for two people. They also never asked for the second AP when we checked in. So you could potentially just book it all with APs and later on have friends/family use the room.

I guess though that for none AP holders it might be cheaper to have the package deal. I still haven't been able to find a good spot to just find room rates (without the ticket package)

Hi all,

I'm debating buying myself an annual pass this coming year. But what happens if I were to travel with family, who don't have annual passes and they want to book a Disney hotel + entrance deal?

Say I want to book a room with one or two other people, who don't have annual passes. I have heard conflicting stories on what to do.

Story 1 that I've heard is to book a deal for the other people, and just present yourself on arrival as an extra guest in the same room. I have been told the annual pass holder will then only have to pay the tourist tax.

Who has *recently* had experience with this? Please enlighten me.

We did this option at Christmas. MiL booked the room for herself (pay 2 nights, get 2 nights free) and on arrival she got her park tickets. We (3) AP holders were added on to her room, paying just the tourist tax - we didn't get park tickets included, we didn't need them. We all stayed in the same room and all had breakfast included.
This was in the Cheyenne, so no problem sleeping 4 to the room. We rang up a few weeks beforehand to confirm that there would be 3 additional guests in the room.

Do some calculations to check how much it would cost for just one of your party to book the room, with the others buying APs. You might get a better deal.
Have a look at discount-ticket-store and supertrips.net, they usually sell APs for less than you can buy at the park - particularly if you are buying childrens passes.

I know you don't receive whatever offers are running so is 35% off a full priced hotel room a good saving?

Depends if the other offers are cost effective - how long are you planning to stay, are you taking children etc.

Would "stay 2 nights, get 2 nights free" be better for you?

I am sure this question must have been asked before so apologies if so, I cannot find it!

The AP sponsorship form mentions sponsoring between November 2015 and March 2016, does this mean you only have a 4 month window to sponsor 3 people in order to get your free year? I was previously under the impression you could sponsor 3 in a year. I want to know as we are sponsoring 2 during our next visit in March, and wanted to hold off sponsoring one of our family members AP until September when we come to renew so they would be valid for similar timescales, but if there is only a 4 month window we may as well get theirs during our next visit too so that we have a complete sponsorship form and get a free year. Can someone clarify? Thanks!

You have to get all your sponsorees(?!) in a particular timeframe, so yes, your form is correct. If you are short of one, advertise your dates here, the may be someone who needs sponsoring.

Thanks that's really helpful! I would sponsor a third should I manage to find one, but would it mean that my family member couldn't benefit from the 10% off later in the year as I would have already sponsored 3 people that year? Thank you for your speedy reply!

There are conflicting reports! Some say you can sponsor as many people as you want, some say they limit it to 3 - so who knows!

Check the AP prices on supertrips.net or discount-ticket-store, they may be equal to saving 10%.

You have to do all your sponsorships in the same DLP "season". Season changes in the first week of November and the last week of March.

You cannot sponsor a renewal as the new guest cannot have held an AP in the last two years.

my friend and I are going beginning of September. booked 4 nights 5 days which includes park ticket but I really want to become an AP holder. can I still go with my ticket to the bureau and get an AP? very new to this AP world and although I am reading everything I don't understand some of it

As for Kirsty's question: I think the only time you can get a ticket refund when buying an AP is for a 1 day ticket bought that day. You can of course get an AP but they won't refund the park tickets element of your package. An idea for you if you want to get the most out of your money... If you have others interested in going you can change the name of your booking to your additional friends name and then buy your AP and add yourself onto the room for the cost of city tax per night (a few euros) and this even includes breakfast! that way an additional friend will get the park tickets that you previously would have used, and you can use your AP...although it will mean sharing a room with an additional friend, but also means splitting the hotel room three ways making it much cheaper for all!!
For future bookings, AP holders get 35% discount off hotel rooms which are a room only deal with no tickets, but you need an AP in the first place to book one.

You can but you will need to pay the full price of the desired AP.

Hey Guys.

I'm looking at getting annual tickets for our first family trip in October but I really want to buy the tickets before we get there  I'm trying to get my head around the process.

If you could give me some guidance please

Can you purchase the tickets prior to going and are they activated immediately or can you stipulate that they start in October?

I'm worried about the 3 days you have to wait after buying the tickets to use them as this won't work for us with the 7 days in Paris we have. 

I also have a disabled child and note that a carer can be put on the annual passes, can anyone shed some light on this please?
