Quote from: "gldc"This temporary ticket you get can you get a fastpass with it? and can you get the 10% discount with another ap holder if buying at the ticket booths?

Also any AP holder there on April 30th in the afternoon (or may 1/2) to be my sponsor?  :D

the temporary ticket is a normal day ticket, so yes, you can use fastpass machines with this. Your AP holder sponsor has to be present with you at wherever you are paying for your new AP, so yes, if you're paying at the ticket booth, your sponsor has to be with you then.

Very tempted to get the APs for our next visit. But I have a couple of questions.

1) For the Family discount if I get 5 passes - my wife is Italian and her passport still and will always have her maiden name on it. Will that matter? Would a marriage licence help (note: not the best french speaker in the world)

and

2) Does anyone know what the excluded dates are for the Fantasy Pass?

I am not 100% sure my friend, but I think if the passports are going to the same address, it doesn't matter if you have different names.

So there's a 20% Family discount. And there's a 15% discount for Shareholders. Can the 2 be combined to get 35% ??

No, sadly not. No discounts can be combined at all, you have to decide which one you prefer.

the classic one has got more blockout dates. it's valid for 270 days, the francilien is valid on 300 days, i think. the point on the classic passport is, that you can use it also at the 2 following days after purchasing. that's not possible with the francilien.

Anyone got the blockout dates for the classic passport? if I could get that instead of the 139 euro one it'd be excellent.

Quote from: "Elaine"I believe you can purchase them before you arrive by post or by calling Disney - however they are not activated until the first time you use them in the turnstiles at the park entrances, and Francillien annual passes are not valid on the 2nd and 3rd days after you activate them.

If you want to purchase your APs at the park entrance, the ticket booths/Guest Services office opens before the park turnstiles do, so if you arrive at the park at around 9am you should have completed your AP purchase by 9.30am, when the turnstiles open. I'd suggest you go to Guest Services to buy your AP, usually shorter lines and they are more knowledgable about APs generally.

Sorry for the seriously late reply.

Thanx for the help. In terms of ordering the AP's by post, I live in South Africa. Do you think they'd be keen on sending it all the way here?

Hi Joe, personally I would not bother, I would get the APs at the gate (and always do). You can still book a Disney hotel room if you want to stay on site with an AP discount, so long as you have your AP when you check in.
