That concept art really does make Disney's World of Colour look absolutely sensational! If I had to choose for either Fantasmic of World of Colour to come to the Walt Disney Studios in the future, without a doubt it'd have to be World of Colour now :)

The latest Dateline Disneyland has a particularly large amount of photos from DCA: http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/dateli ... -more.html

Looks like the jumping fountains are going in:

The walkway around Paradise Park looks really nice with its green railings and coloured stonework:

Can you even begin to imagine setting up and programming a show like World of Color? All those cables, pipes, fountains and lights... Crazy.

I'm looking forward to Cars Land. Don't get me wrong, it looks spectacular. BUT the thing is, does anyone else find it strange that they're investing so much money (estimated $200 million), and using up so much space (12 acres), on Pixar's worst film? It's a lot of effort and energy focused on re-creating a 6-year-old film that no one ever really loved.

See, I never really liked the film Cars. The characters are weird disembodied heads and the environments leave me with little desire to visit them. I guess it's too based in reality; not enough fantasy. Looking at statistics, Cars only got 75% on Rotten Tomatoes, and grossed far less Worldwide than Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E and Up.

Perhaps Cars was chosen simply because John Lasseter directed it, and he's the Principal Creative Advisor at Walt Disney Imagineering. So if he wants to spend $200 million building a ride based on one of his four Pixar films, he can.

What do you guys think?

No it was chosen because of merchandise sales. Its one of the most profitable films from that point and hasn't died off....
