I found this earlier on YouTube and thaught it was very interesting. Especialy the first train, you'll understand why -

Just to clear up incase anyone gets the wrong end of the stick I'm posting this because I feel it has relevance to Minnies Party Train. Also, so this is where that catch tune originates from!  :D/

Could it be? The New Castle Decorations?

Picture print-screened from the MMP website:

If you look closely enough, you can make out that on the balcony/ under the window there is what appears to be like the prototype lamps that we saw last year (we can see a blue circle with Mickey and co in, and two golden confetti rings as ears in this picture). We can also make out that where the characters used to be on top of the spires, there appear to be more golden Mickey head confetti shapes!

Can anyone confirm this?

Unfortunately I can...  I had hoped they'd dropped the concept...  Castle decorations should only be used in my opinion for truly remarkable occasions, like (and perhaps only) for the park's anniversary.

Those are indeed Mickey shaped streamers on the spires, a Mickey & pals visual in front of the main stained glass and the current Tinker Bell statue on the top spire.

I agree Kristof, the castle should only be decorated for the parks birthdays.  :(
Is the castle not beautiful enought itself witout decorations?  :(

At first glance I thought the castle had finally been stripped of all it's decorations, but Mickey shaped streamers? How awful. The castle itself is one of the most beautiful parts of the resort, so WHY on earth do they choose to mess with it? :?

not sure about those decorations, I think I will have to see a 'real' image of them before I make up my mind!!!

Tokyo do produce the majority of Disney audio that then gets adopted by other parks, I could spend hours listing the songs. Thats why I was expecting the second track of Tokyo's Party Express to be the new song for Minnie's Party Train, its a pretty fun track.

Obviously that picture is pretty low quality from the website and only artwork so we don't have a great idea about what the castle will look like but it doesn't look too bad. I may change my mind once the decorations are put up though.

It's at http://www.mickeymagicalyear.com/uk/uk. Nice to see you here mouetto!

Spotted the things on the Castle too and to be honest it doesn't look anywhere near as bad as I expected. Gold outlines of Mickey shapes replacing the character statues... ok. The centrepiece thing might be pushing it.

Just, what's the point? I agree with Kristof, but I'd also guess 99% of regular guests don't even notice anything different on the Castle right now. They probably think the candles were always there and only the "15" was added. That's a credit to the original designers, commemorating an anniversary but not overdoing it, but for MMP it's just very pointless.

This is just more money down the drain that could be reallocated somewhere else... like fixing Alice's Curious Labyrinth, repainting the Adventureland entrance ...or sorting out Disney Studio 1!!

Once again, my eagle eyes seem to have spotted something wrong...

Disney might want to get the spellchecking department in here...

What? Why on earth would they be decorating the castle for this? Isn't there some unofficial rule that only Christmas and anniversaries get castle presence?

I suppose it has now been added to the enormous canvas that Entertainment gets to finger paint all over every single season.
