Disney Cinema Parade will have its last ever performance today, and it seems only right that we dedicate a topic to the first and only parade of Walt Disney Studios which would have celebrated its sixth birthday this June.

I only ever saw it once, in my last visit. We nearly didn't bother. I'm glad I did though because I thouroughly enjoyed it and will be sad i only got to see it the once. Goodbye DCP! :cry:

Well, the final performance has been and gone.

So long, au revoir Disney Cinema Parade! You were a cute and original parade with a great abstract flair and a consistency throughout the floats and costumes that far too many parades miss. You gave us something truly different through all those years when Disneyland Park continued to wear out the tired WWODP and were a wonderful first parade our favourite little park.

I liked the parade, especially the song...it's really a catchy song.
I haven't seen it last year because we were so focused on all the new things we didn't have time. But I have seen it the years before. I didn't find good pictures but I thought I'll post them anyway.

It's such a shame that it has to leave so soon, I still can't see why they can't run it until the new parade arrives. Good bye old friend, you will be missed on my next trip :cry:

I will miss the DCP, but I can see why they're replacing it. When I saw it the other day there lots of thing that were broken or not working, the dancers looked really bored, and some of the floats didn't even have characters on them. So, I'm kind of glad their replacing it, but it's just a shame I'll never see it in it's proper working condition ever again.

I won't miss the parade myself, because I wasn't a big fan, but can apreciate that many will do. I'm more upset with the fact its gone and left us without a parade. Did anyone see this parade today?

Baloo and raptor1982 will you guys be dedicating any kind of tribute page to this parade on any of your site's?

The first time I saw this parade, it was a mistake. We didn't think there was another parade in the resort, so we heard the 10min announcement and soon saw Goofy making his way to where the Monsters Inc photo-location now is. It was a really hot summer's day and we had an incredible view that we've never been able to beat since.

Was a lot of fun so see something extra and that really helped us enjoy it more. On later visits, it was wet, dull and no show modes (let alone the mini floats and props etc). The summer they brought the show modes back made a huge difference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSX-5JozQWo

It's always a shame for something that is exclusive to DLRP to suddenly disappear, just because it was poorly maintained. Because it was, it then didn't make sense to repair it before it's replacement arrives.
