uh oh! I hear a familiar cry of outrage coming.
S0, to fan the flames...I always felt the Herbie moment always fell a bit flat in the show. It fills a bit of time during a prop change but maybe it could be done better. Can't really imagine what Lightening McQueen will be able to do except drive up and down a bit though! Now, if he could talk I'd be impressed.

Just on the weekend I was talking with friends about what Disneyland will do to promote Cars 2. I didn't think about Moteurs...Action!

Although I think it is strange to feature him in a "shooting" of a spy movie, but why not. Herbie also didn't fit. So one wrong part will replace another.

Aren't Lightning and Matter part of an espionage in the new movie? So replace all humans of Moteurs..Action! with Cars and everything is fine.

You've hit on an excellent point. Cars 2 is all about secret agents and international espionage. Very James Bond. And Lights Motors Action was always James Bond themed, just without the James Bond IP.

So, yeah, why not re-theme Lights Motors Action to Cars. Replace the hero car with Lightning McQueen, add Mater in there, and add on a soundtrack by Michael Giacchino. Perfect.

Hmmm, I dont know how I feel about this.... yet more commercialisation of Pixar....

As a "special appearance" it makes perfect sense and is again very well-timed. DLP have excelled themselves with this lately after Toy Story Playland, Princess and the Frog and Rapunzel, getting back to that time in the '90s when the parks would always celebrate the newest features. It's a very good thing.

A full retheme of the show to Cars? No thanks, and I don't think WDI would agree to that either.

I wonder where they're getting the car(s) from? How many drivable Lightning McQueens were originally made?

I think WDI created a drivable Lightning for WDW and DL Anaheim where it was used in DCA. Since DCA is a major construction site and Carsland will not open before 2012, maybe ED SCA got their Lightning McQueen just for the next year.

I don't think that Lightning McQueen will be incorporated into the show. I can imagine that he will make an appearance before the show starts and Disney will show the trailer of the movie on the big screen.

I'd guess an appearance like Herbie would be more likely. Either replacing Herbie himself like the rumours said (hopefully not, that's a fun effect) or even better one of the far too drawn-out audience interaction moments, like the remote-controlled car.

Good thinking about DCA. Do the cars still make appearances in Florida? They used to be part of Disney Stars and Cars Parade, didn't they.

I really hope that Lightning will not replace Herbie.

I'm not sure about Florida, but I think that DHS will get a new Pixar parade and I can't imagine that Cars will not be part, since there will be Cars 2 in cinemas next year. So I guess that DLR gets DCA's Lightning McQueen just for one year and when Carsland is finished he has to return.

One thing about the new brochure... Why is Toy Soliders Parachute drop being plugged as a *new* attraction? Why not the other two as well?

Toy Soldiers Parachute is featured at "Family Moments", Slinky Dog at "Moments for Kids" and RC Racer at "Thrilling Moments", so all the Toy Story Playland new attractions are featured in the brochure.

Also, I'm also intrigued about what are going to do with Herbie... I've always liked that moment of the show.

If Herbie is leaving the show (I'd guess that's the part Lightning McQueen is replacing), then it's be nice to see them add the split car to the Tram Tour, one per side of the track so you drive through it? That or rig up the non stunt Herbie to flash it's lights/bounce when the tram goes past? Like the vehicle graveyard is coming to life?

That would be cool and a nice addition to Tram Tour, as it seems they remove more and more props of it lately...
