Quote from: "jenjens84"hi everyone,
i was wondering if someone could give me some advice because i am travelling on the eurostar on the 21st march with my daughter and have got the tickets and seen that my daughter and myself are seated on the train seperately and telephoned the customer service to be told that all i can do is ask the people on the train to move?!? which i think is not really fair on myself as i feel uncomfortable with telling someone that they would have to move, however my travel agent has said to go to the booking office in the morning before i board the train and complain for them to do something and that i should be upgraded to first class for free  for the inconvience
? do you think that this is possible

How old is your daughter?

If she's young, I think you should definitely complain because it's unreasonable to expect a child to sit with a stranger. If she's an older teen/adult, you may not get as much assistance because they do say they can't guarantee you sitting together.

Did you book very late? Normally it's easy for them to get people in twos sitting together unless they're filling up the last few spare seats on the train.

Go straight back to customer services tomorrow and point out that your daughter is 5 and you have no intention of asking other people to move seats and say that you thought they must be unaware of your daughters age! If they cannot offer you seats together, insist on a free upgrade so you can. Always be polite, but firm when dealing with them. If you booked through a travel agent, get them involved!

i thought of doing that but my travel agent told me to just wait until i get to the station and the ticket office because disney may ask to return the tickets and i would have to wait to reissue my tickets but im thinking with 10 days to go that would be pushing for time, do you think that the customer service will be able to sort the tickets out over the phone then? even though i got the tickets via disneyland paris

just spoke to eurostar customer service and they have told me that they cannot do anything as it is disney who deal with the seats and they cannot do anything about it, but i could try and go to the ticket office on the day and they would see what they could do but only for the journey out and not back.
this is the third time i am going to disney via eurostar and previous times were great but this is really making me upset as this is the first time im going with only my daughter and myself and for this to happen is making me so stressed,i just hope something can be done about it

How can that be so? Disney don't own the train! It's a Eurostar service, not a private Disney train!

You definitely need to get this sorted out - I cannot believe anyone would be so incompetent as to sit a 5 year old and her mother apart.

They probably can't just re-issue the seats now they'd have to do yours and someone else's and there isn't really time. But the point is that they never should have separated you in the first place.

Have you tried ringing Disney and seeing what they say?

Last time we went there was a family of about 6 that were scattered throughout the train and different carriages and they had young children, one og=f the people sat next to one people sat next to a child offered to swap with the mum, I think the person who is sat next to your child will proberbly be happy to swap with you rather than be left with a 5 year old

I've just been on the Eurostar website to check out prices for our November trip - what a shock.

We normally book them this far in advance and get a really good deal but at the moment the prices are more than double with limited seat availability!!!

Any ideas why November is so popular?

Probably because tickets for November went on sale before the New Year over the phone?
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow,... You're always a day closer to my next Disney trip!

Problem solved we will go a week later. Tickets for the second half of November haven't gone on sale yet so we should still get them at a good price.

Sorry toonarmylass this is a very common problem for people booking Direct via Disney or via another tour agent except Eurostar Holidays and Eurostar Direct where you can book your percific seat in any coach and know your seating arrangements at time of booking.  Do seek Eurostar customer services when get too london and make a complaint at city hall disneyland even if Eurostar sort it this end as Disney get a set amount of seats per coach like other tour agents brochures and it is up to Disney etc not Eurostar to what seats you may be offered on your journey next time put it in writing via additional comments requests in booking form then they cannot say they are not aware of the situation I hope this helps hope you have had a great trip anyway.

Hi all

I am thinking of booking Disneyland the week before Christmas.

I can't book Eurostar before Christmas because they aren't available but if anyone knows the answers to my questions that would be great!

- When does Eurostar go to Disneyland Paris? I'm thinking if going Saturday - Wednesday. I know I can change at Paris but would rather get on the train and go direct.

- When do tickets for December become available for December?

- Can you just book the luggage service separately with Disney Customer Service after I've booked the holiday?

Thanks in advance for any help you can be!

The EuroStar train doesn't run direct to DLP saturdays and tuesdays except during the school holidays, but you need to see an updated timetable for December really. I'm sure others will have more information.
