Hi, was just wondering whether most people book Eurostar with the trip direct with Disney or separately?  I get a pretty good discount for Eurostar through my work but am paranoid that I will book my trip and then try to book the train separately (either through work or Eurostar themselves) and they will be sold out...any advice on which is the best way?

We book a wheelchair seat and two companion seats which Disney won't or can't provide so we always book the Eurostar separately through Eurostar and have never had a problem. Just try and book the train as far in advance as you can. As for the hotel package I have purchased that the week before I go I always get the train first so I know when I need to go.

1. On The DisneyLand Paris Brochure on page 83 it said Your EuroStar Package includes Disneyland Paris tickets(will the ticket given to us on the day of the arrival or will the disneyland paris park tickets arrive a week before we be going to DisneyLand Paris_

2. What does it mean when it said arrive directly at gates of the magic at DisneyLand Paris.

3. There will soon be: banners and posters at stations; a special plasma screen at Waterloo showing DLRP commericals; plus tests of character appearances and/or a live Disney band at Marne-la-Vallée to survey guest opinion.

It'll soon feature Mickey and Minnie over the tannoy, inviting guests to board "The Disneyland Train".

Kids currently get a basic activity pack.

The new pack will feature a rucksack plus games and toys to show them all the best bits of the resort before they get there.

(Is the info showing about waterloo station also happen in St Pancras station too or does it only happen at the waterloo station)

4. When he 'Marne - la - Vallée/Chessy' station do these things happen at the station and on board the train

Hotel pre-check in

• Disney Eurostar kids pack

• Disney team on board

• Luggage transfer to/from hotel

• Go straight to the Parks upon arrival

4. The 'Disney Touch'

Free Disney children's activity packs

Jazz band creating a festive atmosphere at St Pancras International in the departure lounge

Disney characters meeting and greeting travellers on arrival at the terminal concourse at Marne-la-Vallée.

(Sorry if there info twice or 3 times it just I copy and paste from 3 different disney websites.)

Also if any of you kind enough please that if you have a photo of the rucksack given to the kids on board the eurostar, and would I be able to have the kids pack despite me being 24 years and being an adult.

On one website it said this about the band and the character meet 'n' greet
There is usually a Disney jazz band playing Disney music in the Disney train departure area at St Pancras in school holidays - not at other times. They usually start playing the Mickey Mouse Club song when boarding is announced.(Do the jazz band paly out of school holidays e.g. when the kids are all in school during the school trem.) (Both me and my mum will go there on 28 November 2011 for the Enchanted Christmas Season)
Chip and Dale are usually at Chessy station to meet the direct Eurostar train, but again only usually in school holidays.(Do the chip and dale meet 'n' greet guests out of school holidays e.g. when the kids are all in school during the school trem.) Also is it only Chip and dale that meet 'n' greet in the Chessy station  or do other disney characters meet 'n' greet guests too.)(Both me and my mum will go there on 28 November 2011 for the Enchanted Christmas Season)

The kids backpacks / bags have varied over the years, so even if someone has a photo of one they may not be the same now. When I travelled by direct Eurostar in January they had run out of the kids packs at St Pancras, which was a shame. There is usually a desk at St Pancras where parents can pick up the kids bags, so if you said it was for a child they would probably give you one.
Disney team on board just means that there are Cast Members on the train who come round giving people with Express Service their park tickets etc as I explained in the last post. They know the seat numbers where people are sitting, so they find you.

Are all these infomation true are they telling a white lie.  :^o

Quote from: "It's A Small World"1. On The DisneyLand Paris Brochure on page 83 it said Your EuroStar Package includes Disneyland Paris tickets(will the ticket given to us on the day of the arrival or will the disneyland paris park tickets arrive a week before we be going to DisneyLand Paris_

after you pass through eurostar ticket barriers and past luggage screening you will see some Disney staff (cast members) walking around.  They will be easy to see.  You get your hotel check in pack which includes your park tickets from them

2. What does it mean when it said arrive directly at gates of the magic at DisneyLand Paris.

Just what it says, the train station is right next to the gates to Disneyland

3. There will soon be: banners and posters at stations; a special plasma screen at Waterloo showing DLRP commericals; plus tests of character appearances and/or a live Disney band at Marne-la-Vallée to survey guest opinion.

Yes, on occasion I have heard that

Kids currently get a basic activity pack.

Those under 10 get an activity pack as you describe

The new pack will feature a rucksack plus games and toys to show them all the best bits of the resort before they get there.

(Is the info showing about waterloo station also happen in St Pancras station too or does it only happen at the waterloo station)

The train leaves from St Pancras International, not Waterloo. In the past a character (I have seen Eeyore) might meet the train, but never on departure from London)

4. When he 'Marne - la - Vallée/Chessy' station do these things happen at the station and on board the train

Hotel pre-check in

• Disney Eurostar kids pack

• Disney team on board

• Luggage transfer to/from hotel

4. The 'Disney Touch'

Free Disney children's activity packs

Sometimes

Disney characters meeting and greeting travellers on arrival at the terminal concourse at Marne-la-Vallée.

Also if any of you kind enough please that if you have a photo of the rucksack given to the kids on board the eurostar, and would I be able to have the kids pack despite me being 24 years and being an adult.

You are not entitled to a pack, however if you ask the cast member may give you a pack

They are not lying, however they are not obliged to have all or even any of the things you mention

How much does the eurostar generally add on to your package in terms of cost? Me and my partner want to go in September and now you can book for September but without the transport which is annoying so how much extra does it normally add on? Or do they bundle it in for a package?

It is often more expensive to book the Eurostar through Disney and booking it separately saves a lot of money!!
If you book the eurostar as far in advanced as possible you also save tons!!
You can often get a return to Disney on the Eurostar for £69

I had a look and you are right it is cheaper! Do I get Disney express still? Is it all the same process with the Eurostar etc?

You can add the Disney express to your Disney package for £16 a person which includes arrival and departure, you just inform them you have booked . You check in exactly the same at the counter if you go in-direct or on the train if you get the direct service. It is exactly the same process as you would have if you purchased it through Disney just a LOT cheaper :D.

Have you used the Disney Express before?

Am a bit stuck now-is there a high chance if I book the eurostar separately that I might lose out on any seats and not be able to go? Thats worrying me quite a bit!

It really depends on how far in advance you are planning on booking?! As long as it is a reasonable amount of time it should be fine. You can also always go to Paris and get the RER train or go to Lille and change you can go all sorts of ways. I shouldn't see a problem as long as you book it with enough notice. I haven't had a problem before.

Ive just booked my disney holiday for the 4th june but couldnt get eurostar at the same time as it was fully booked through Disney :(

they did say to try eurostar on its own but they arent doing the prices yet for june so its just a waiting game now to see if more seats are released like they say might happen.

Hope they do as i dont fancy driving and going on the ferry again :( would be nice just to chill out on the train.

We have just booked to go to Disneyland Paris via Eurostar from Ashford. Does anyone know how long you have to be there before the train leaves? Train departs 10:58am. Thanks.
