I know!! I am not happy about it we leave the house at 4am to get their on time if we can do it everyone can and getting back late is the same aeroplane companies don't change their late services it is up to the parents to deal with it and make earlier arrangements.

I used to get the 6am paris service so I could change at Lille and be in the parks as soon as they opened and then get the later lille service connecting to a London one to maximise park time. Unfortunately the double decker TGV's have rubbish wheelchair access so we gave up. We do sometimes do Paris and then RER but it is a lot more of a struggle with the wheelchair. I am hugely tempted to try and go for an extra day to soften the blow!! I think the band should always be there as well I find it sporadic they used to always be there playing Disney songs at check in at London but I haven't seen very much of them recently!!

I'm wanting to book the Eurostar from Ebbsfleet to DLP for next June.  Just read on another Forum that they are booking that period of time for the Eurostar - rang the Eurostar myself and they said they don't start selling those seats until December????

Call back and speak to someone else. Get them to physically check, If they are not get your name down on the call back system.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow,... You're always a day closer to my next Disney trip!

Quote from: "lubynoo"As of December Eurostar are changing their direct service to Disneyland from St Pancras.

The direct service will leave London at 10:17am (subject to a minor change but still 10ish) as apposed to 09:44am.

It will leave Disneyland at 18:00pm French time as apposed to 19:17pm this makes me      because I will miss out on nearly an hour and a quarter in the parks as you have to check in half an hour early!!

Anyway I got that from the horses mouth today as I was booking my tickets for November and as I have a europoints account thing they know I travel A LOT     so they thought I would like to know.

I noticed the different times when I was looking for January train fares the other week. Pretty disappointing, especially on the return leg- although the winter closing times of 5.30pm will probably stay now with that time, it was nice to be able to leave the park about 5 and have a meal in the Village before heading home.

We are also looking at travelling next June, and looking at the Eurostar website you certainly are now alowwed to book for travel at this time.  I think I read somewhere that for Disneyland Paris they've increased the sale before time from 6 months (which would have been December) to 10 months.

I phoned Eurostar yesterday and was able to buy my tickets for June.  If the person you speak to doesn't think they are available; ask them to check as it seems that some of the Eurostar staff are not aware that they are on sale when they are! :?

It is annoying about the times changing for the direct trains. I went back in march and although my daughter, then aged 3 was tired and fell asleep on the connecting train back to our home town I do think she would have done that if train was at the earlier time as she had, had an exciting few days enjoying the parks!
I have booked 2 nights, 3 days next June. It will make a huge difference with the changed times and am considering booking an extra night to make it more worthwhile. I expect though I will have to pay a fee for eurostar having to change trains for me for one leg of the trip. :(
In march we didn't leave park till gone 6 to get train, but next year will have to probably leave park about half four to make our way to the train station. That means we won't see the parade on our last day. The day before we leave I was going to do the tea party at cowboy cookout for my daughters birthday which means we will miss parade that day so will only see it one day of our trip :(  :(

I can totally relate. I will have to have an extra night to cope with it. I don't like it that they have changed it and then the direct service is later in the morning so you get there later and have to leave earlier so blugh to them!!!!

However, the changing at Lille/Gare du Nord is so hectic and annoying that I think I will have to put up with it.

Does anyone know if they have new bags yet, the little bags they give out at the Eurostar for children but have hey got the new ones yet. The lat time we went they still had the New Generation ones they need Magical Moment ones.

Hi All,

I recently emailed Eurostar about why they changed the times of services to/from DLRP.  I explained that this makes people have less special time in the parks and at some times of the year, it will also mean missing the parade!!
Here is their official answer:
Dear Mr Curry,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us, and share with us your thoughts regarding the winter timetable for services to Marne-la-Vallée.

I am very sorry that you found the new times, which will come into effect as of 11th December 2011, to be disappointing, as these will give you less time than before to enjoy the attractions, and more importantly, the parade.

As you can imagine, there are many factors to consider whenever we review our timetable, such as historical and expected traveller demand, as well as the availability of the high-speed lines in the three countries in which we operate. From December 2011, it looks like a series of engineering works will be undertaken all over the French network and, as a consequence of these works, we have had to adapt our timetable so as to minimise disruption for our travellers.

With every new timetable review – which takes place every six months - we endeavour to offer the choice of times and routes to suit the majority of our travellers' needs, while taking into account the operational constraints which I have just mentioned. I understand that you'd like for the timetable to be amended as to allow more play time in the Parks, and I will ensure that your comments and suggestions are passed to the relevant team, so that your feedback can be taken into consideration when we next review our timetable with SNCF (who operate the railway network in France).

I hope that we will be able to re-introduce the services which you have found so convenient on our previous timetable. If you would like to share further comments or observations with us, do not hesitate to contact us again.

With kind regards,

Laurence Brocard
Eurostar Traveller Care.

Am I reading it right, the change in times is temporary due to engineering works and should revert to 'normal' for the summer?

Maybe there will be an additional service introduced giving people the opportunity to leave earlier if they need to.

Glad you got a response, they haven't responded to any tweets I sent them about the issue, which is a shame as their Twitter feed looked to be very good on a customer service basis. It's a shame that they have taken away from both parts of the journey- arriving later and leaving earlier, one or the other would be understandable- especially the return leg, Im sure people would prefer to leave later even if it meant a slightly longer journey.
