There's just been another press release about an expansion to Val d'Europe. It also mentions the new Ratatouille attraction.

I don't know whether this was already known, but it looks like the shopping centre is being expanded. Plus, more housing and shops.

The shopping centre expansion was revealed a few weeks ago. It looks pretty stunning and very in-keeping with the original centre:

http://www.disneycentralplaza.com/t5686 ... pe#1250792

Expanding over the railway line with a new North entrance to meet the road at the back always looked like a logical move, opening up the centre and making it much more permeable as Val d'Europe grows around it. This is a surprisingly imaginative way of doing it, with that vast new hall, rather than just a straight mall.

I wonder, do Disney still have a say in extensions like this, considering the centre and its land are now fully owned by a third party? It looks like they might...

Looks like a nice expansion. I didn't know Disney sold its stake in the shopping centre. When did that happen? I guess after Michael Eisner left TWDC. Wasn't Val D'Europe one of his favorite projects?

It was a lot more recent than that. It was some time in 2010. :)
