The dark blue works way better than the light blue/green. They have seen it with the other disney castles like the Magic Kingdom castle when they repainted in 2006. The towers became way darker then previously and it worked quite well. Same thing here I think :D

I think I actually prefer the two-toned blue and green. I know it's far from finished but instead of adding depth, I think the colours make it seem flatter.

I do however think it's sensible to get the castle into a state of repair where it can simply continue to function as the main focal point of the park the without drawing attention to itself during the day. It seems that they have thought its future through thoroughly also. Any fixtures/installations should be done now to avoid any disruption as those tarps really are ugly. Non-Disney fans are even coming back commenting on them, but I know the future will be worth it.

To keep away from any visible 20th anniversary overlays certainly is the way to go. There's more ways to celebrate

It\'s time to bring down the house - welcome Mickey Mouse!

On this image, the front roof with the big stained glass window looks brighter than the other roofs. Is it going to be painted like that, or is it just the camera making it look brighter?

Thanks for the pictures! The castle looks already great.

When the refurbishment is complete, the castle deserves the title of being the most beautiful Disney castle again.

It looked really nice this weekend. The new blue rooftops stand out beautifully and really finish the castle of well. I think it was a very good decision to change the colour scheme back to the original.

Adrenaline from DCP posted this image today of the castle without the tarps and with the white-primer base on the highest turret.

Looks like the castle walls have been finished and hopefully the scaffolding will be down soon. Seems like they are ahead of schedules (even though they are still painting in the day)
