Star Tours 2 is the next chapter of the ride's story and it's in 3D. Orlando, California and Tokyo already have it. The rumours say apart from Star Tours 2 replacing the original version, there are plans to transform what is now the Captain EO theater, the Star Traders shop, as well as the Pizza Planet restaurant to create a Star Wars land.


I believe we will see Star Tours 2 and the Jedi Training Academy in the near future, not sure if there will be a Star Wars mini land though... Only time will tell!

People won't be attracted to the park with a meet and greet ! Yes they will be busy when there but they don't look who they can meet when booking the trip , they look for ride attractions !
Just see how busy the park becomes once ratatouille opens .

Fairly terrible secret and about time too!

Its a 9 month refurb though. Hopefully they've found a way to speed up the upgrade. 3D is unnecessary on it IMO.

Well, in case somebody doesn't understand French:

-Star Tours will close in January 2016 for a little over a year (apparently at Tokyo Disneyland it closed for 13 months).
-They'll spend at least 150 million, not only in the attraction but also on everything else Star Wars related they're building. That's what they spent on La Place de Rémy and the Ratatouille attraction.
-Star Tours 2 will get brand new images from the first two trilogies AND from the Star Wars VII film.
-They will also start the first phase of a Star Wars land, including a Star Wars meet n greet where the Star Traders shop is, the largest shop exclusively dedicated to Star Wars, a Cantina restaurant and a second attraction.
-In January 2015 they'll start work on Vidéopolis, most likely to turn it into the Jedy Academy.

(Hope my English didn't make it even more difficult to understand! )
