I have been doing lots of reading and video watching in preparation for our trip next week.
My DH jokes I must know as much about the parks as the CMs! (I wish!   )
I would love to do a guided tour of Disneyland Park and have looked it up on the wonderful DLRPmagic website.
If you have done it, what did you think?
Travelling with two ASD kids who will lap up the info, so not worried about that, its more persuading DH.
It also says children free ... Robs 10. I am guessing he is free?
Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

children aged under 12 are free.
I've done both guided tours - the main park and then the Studios one.
They are fabulous - do it! I'd do both again. Its 2 hours of walking around the parks, no rides, no attractions etc, talking about the stories and influences of the park, the designs, the themes, the lands, the restaurants etc etc. The time goes by so fast on these tours, because they are so interesting.

how do you book/signup/wait to do these tours?
Going for first time in November, have 4 night/5 days
Both myself and GF are large disney fans and I suspect that she's appreciate this type of thing

We did the Disneyland Parc tour in February, which I secretly booked ahead of our trip.  As I hadn't told any of the family about it, they all walked up to our Guide (Joost) at the beginning literally not knowing what they were letting themselves in for - their faces were such a picture (I think they were all scared I'd set up some kind of stage performance for them to do or something!).

The tour itself was fantastic, starting at the entrance area and working up Main Street, before going through the other Lands.  You discover the history behind it all, as well as the planning, design, hidden 'in-jokes', etc.  It was actually fascinating, which I definitely didn't expect - I just thought it would be something a bit different that we haven't done on any of our previous trips!

Highly recommended.

Also, the first people to book a particular time slot get to choose the language of the tour.  We had a Dutch family with us but they obviously spoke very good English (just for a change, LOL).
