Quote from: "dejmurph1"Got this email today concerning a 40% offer, take a look behind Lightning McQueen, the space were the stage was located as it now looks to be replaced with a water feature. Pond or fountans etc, cut and paste this link into your address bar ( for some reason I am unable to attach pic etc to my posts........)

Well spotted, dejmurph, but I think what we're looking at here is a photoshop composition of Central Plaza and part of Fantasyland - the sea monster topiary is visible at the back there.

However, in other news, DLRPExpress today tweeted part of a leaked advert for the 20th Anniversary, and my does it look flashy. The only downside however - this leaked version is in Spanish!

Did anyone notice that this isn't DLP's Main Street USA. It's the one from Anaheim and Hong Kong.

Some very exciting news posted on Twitter by a current cast member about what is to come.

QuoteSurprise! As part of the 20th anniversary, some new merchandise'll be sold. Keywords? Retro-Vintage, celebration & Signature! It looks great!

QuoteApart from these 3 new lines of merchandise, we'll get a new 20th anniversary wine, by Domaine Bertrand. Available: red, white or rose!

QuoteNew 20th anniversary menu soon in restaurants as Walt's, Founders club + a new dining plan; privileged 'Dreams' seats to watch the show.

It seems like DLP have been listening to the requests of more new merchandise. The privilege "Dreams" seats sound interesting too. It seems to follow what Disneyland do for World of Colour. Also in relation to Main Street decorations for the 20th, the cast member has posted this:

QuoteMain Street U.S.A. will be dressed in lights and colours as part of its extravagant decorations for the 20th anniversary

Of course I am only going by a current cast member's tweets and as we know things can change all the time.

Thanks for posting that. :)

It's nice to know the "light and colour" thing is still going on. I don't think anyone at DLP's mentioned it since it was announced in the brochure.

We all know how DLP like to keep everything so quiet but at the moment they are leaking quite a lot over on Twitter.
An update on the merchandise that is coming the same castmember (I would put her name but I don't want to get them into trouble and risk losing their job) updates informing us

QuoteI can tell you there'll be a new collection of Cars themed clothing and the wine'll also be sold in a set of 3 in a gift box
.

Also, there is to be new food packaging.

QuoteFor the 20th anniversary season we'll get new (fast)food wrapping. Boxes and bags for hotdogs, burgers etc. featuring the Disney Characters!

Plus confirmation that the new Mickey Mouse meet and greet will not be finished on time for the start of the celebrations. An unconfirmed opening date of the 17th may has been mentioned by InsideDLParis on Twitter. Disney Central Plaza reports a "provisional" version of the meet and greet could take place at Woody's Roundup Village.

Thanks for the infos. I'm excited about the wine, because the one sold for the 15th birthday was quite good.

Disney should put more effort in improving the food that's inside the new fast food boxes. The fast food can be terrible at DLRP.

I'm not interested in the Cars merchandise, I would like to see some quality merchandise about the resort, the 20th birthday and about the attractions. If you are not under 10 years, it's hard to find something that's worth the money.

all these tweets sound amazing, especially the Walts dreams experience im really curious to see that, and everything as well come to think of it. I do hope the tweets come true.

Its sad to see Meet Mickey mouse is not opening for the the beginning of the twentieth but they have had a lot of bad weather to contend with and still have but id rather it be open when its ready and not a half jobby!

MissDisneyisMagical, those tweets come from very reliable sources. InsideDLParis is usually 95% accurate and if it does change he usually says. A cast member who is working for the mouse is a pretty good source. With only a matter of weeks to go I would have thought personally everything for the 20th would all be finalised and ready to go at this late stage but that is only my opinion.

What does 'privileged seats' mean - any ideas?

So these seats, I wonder how much a meal is going to cost just to get a decent view of Dreams.  Personally sticking a bunch of seats in Central Plaza does not fill me with joy.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow,... You're always a day closer to my next Disney trip!

Anthony

Note you can discuss Disney Dreams specifically in the dedicated topic!

"Privileged seats" would suggest that these seats are better than other seats. Since there are no seats, I'm guessing more a reserved viewing area accessible via a ticket given to you during your meal, like I think they have for World of Color.
