we're looking into staying at WDW and are running into similar problems... seems like a very strange oversight for a place aimed mostly at families...  ???

Totally agree about the bunk beds, although there has been no official confirmation that ALL bunk beds are going.

We know a hotel offsite at Lake Buena Vista that has rooms with two double beds and a double sofa bed, if you don't mind staying offsite?

Yeah, I like the new design but no bunkbeds will be a killer for our family :( What are you supposed to do if you have 2 adults & 2 kids (would have thought that's quite a common family dynamic, no?  ::) ) ?

I have a boy and a girl and they wouldn't want to share the same bed! When they were younger and didn't mind sharing a bed we would stay in the Santa Fe, but moved to the Cheyenne specifically because of the bunk beds. Its surprisingly difficult to find a room with a double & 2 single, or a double & bunkbeds... we're looking into staying at WDW and are running into similar problems... seems like a very strange oversight for a place aimed mostly at families...  ???

I have spoken to disney and you will actually get a double and two single beds one classed as a pull out so the kids will not have to share a bed.

That would be very handy to know - thanks - what is it called? Not sure yet if we can cope with the lack of magic hours for a non-Disney hotel though - I've heard queues in Florida can be ridiculous at peak times...
