World of Disney in Disney Village (Now Open)

I believe it's been repeated many times that the second floor is not going to be part of the shop. Of course, that doesn't mean they can't decide to make it part of the shop at some point in the future, when capacity issues once again come a-knocking.

And surely it is at the very least larger than the current Disney Store. It would have to be... Otherwise it's not exactly going to solve the overcrowding on summer evenings.

Then the shop will be small. Maybe Disney will keep the current Disney Store as well. They can use the WoDS for the nicer merchandise and the general park merchandise will be sold in the Disney Store. Perhaps the building is bigger than it looks.

Since there was no official statement of ED SCA, I don't think so. Maybe someone on the French Disney Central Plaza Forum went to the Chessy Town Hall to get some informations.

Here is a picture that shows the inside of the store. It seems there will be a second floor, but as already mentioned, it will not be part of the shop. Does someone know if the dome will let the sunlight into the shop? Then the second floor must be something like a balcony.

InsideDLParis shared the first peice of concept art for the interior of the World of Disney store (or at least part of it!) to be opening Spring 2012.

As the text says, the store will have an international travel theme with a "freize depicting the five" [continents?]. From looking closely, I can see The Lion King, Mulan and Aladdin.

If you take a look at the concept art of the interior, it shows a balloon in the middle of the shop. One of the Main Street shop, I think it is Disney & Co, also has a balloon in the middle of the shop. Now I'm wondering if that balloon will be removed to be put into WoDS?

Interesting thought (or not really, just another reuse), but looking at this photo from Disney & Co. and comparing to the concept art, your idea seems very likely... at least for some of the ballon to be used.

Looks like The World Of Disney Store is becoming more closer to being complete...

Turn now to the future World of Disney store. The scaffolding will take possession of the façade, which should allow the workers to begin work on theming!!!!
