We booked the Magical Shuttle bus from the airport to the Cheyenne instead of to Newport Bay.
Can we nonetheless travel to the newport bay by Bus? Does it make any difference /are they strict about it where you get out? Is it the same bus for every Disney hotel or are they also buses per hotel like the buses from the station back to the Hotels?

When we've been on magic shuttle they have always gone round all of the Disney hotels and have only checked the paperwork when you get on, so not when you get off. It's the same price for all the hotels so I can't see it making much of a difference anyway. I think the Newport tends to be the first drop off as it's the first you reach from the road. I would just say when you get on that you plan to get off at Newport instead.

If not you can walk from Cheyenne to Newport - obviously you will lose park time but it's not impossible to do.

If I was you, I would just board the bus and get off at Newport Bay Club and not stress more about it.

This happened to me in February 2016. I had originally booked Hotel New York and had booked my Magic Shuttle. Then about 3 weeks before my trip I got an upgrade to Disneyland Hotel. I just got on Magic Shuttle and said my hotel has changed, I am now going to Disneyland Hotel. No problem, he just wrote in his paperwork.

Newport Bay is the first drop off, so just make sure you dont miss the stop

When I went, The guy just asked which hotel, I said Santa Fe and off we went don't think it should be a problem if you just explain, besides if you have a print out of your booking confirmation for dlp that'll prove you're obviously at NPBC and not just trying to pull a fast one

I don't recall being asked which hotel, we just boarded the bus and got off at our hotel. Newport is the first drop off then bus goes onto each of the hotels.
