For 2 adults, you can go from London to Disneyland Paris and back again for as little as £139 in total. That's £139 for 2 adult return tickets, booking on Eurostar.com. Pretty good value I think :-)

Book as early as possible though as prices will rise the nearer to departure you get. I forgot this time and it's cost me an extra £80 or so. Doh!

Thank you  :)  I did think that nearly £500 was excessive! I'm going to phone Eurostar and ask when tickets will be available.

The prices DLP give you if you book Eurostar in their package are absurd, it's because they pre-purchase with Eurostar and sell at a premium, go direct to Eurostar.com and you'll save a fortune, plus you can choose your seats. I think you can book about 6 months in advance, from about 3 months in advance you may find prices increase.

I just wondered if anyone travelling in the new standard premier class can tell me what the new breakfast is like? I understand it's no longer a hot meal and more of a continental breakfast. Thanks.

The Eurostar website says:

"Before 11am this includes breakfast pastries, yoghurt, juice and tea or coffee to get your day off to a fresh start."

So, yes, it's continental now. I traveled over the changeover, so got old breakfast but new dinner. You got all of the new menu before, but also a hot meal (three or so of sausage, bacon, beans, egg etc.). Shame, as it is all cooked beforehand and not on the train, so easy to provide still.

The new dinner for me was a ham and cheese sandwich, prawn salad, salami, chocolate, bread roll and drink, which was perfectly nice and delicious, but not as substantial as previously. It changes, so you may get a better meal - a sample menu is @ http://www.eurostar.com/pdf/food_on_boa ... P_menu.pdf

I am planning on making a telephone booking for the Eurostar direct to Disneyland Paris for next year.

Can any one tell me please how long the phone call will take?

International calls can be very expensive especially when you're put on hold.  I've already established that booking the Disneyland hotels can take up to half an hour and I therefore use a different international phone code that charges in half hour blocks.  I can also dial a different code that will charge by the minute or a ten minute cap which naturally works out much cheaper.

I know you can book online but I prefer to book by phone re credit card security and I suspect I need to for this booking as the online system at present is only allowing bookings 4 calendar months ahead whereas Disneyland trips are allowed to be booked 180 days ahead.

Thank you.

hi,

We are travelling on the eurostar direct to disney on 13th june 2011. We are taking our daughters, aged 4 and 2. We havent paid for a seat for our youngest. Does this mean she wont get an 'activity pack'? We have booked through 'thomas cook'. Can we book our seats? or do you just get what you are given? Im worried we wont all be sat together.

unsure re activity pack

re sitting together, if you speak to thomas cook they may be able to find out your seat numbers / allocated seats for the eurostar and you may also possibly be able to change where you are sitting i.e. at a table

this depends how busy they are realy, to be honest it wont always take long to book, if you know what you want, when you want to go it  makes it alot quicker

Thanks bigrossco.  You were right.  I phoned mid morning (UK time), was put on hold for a couple of minutes but when answered, the whole transaction was very easy (I knew exactly what I wanted).  Including the being put on hold, the whole call took about 9 minutes.  I was impressed with their efficiency and accuracy as the seats have already been confirmed by email and I can print my own tickets.  Needless to say I'm well pleased and now all I need to do is book the accommodation and when that's done I'll be  :D/  .

Looks like Eurostar have had some delays with the snow but not a patch on last winter so far.

Best to keep on eye on their Twitter pages for updates:

Service Update - (17.30 GMT)

Due to current weather conditions and as a precautionary measure, speed restrictions are in place on the high speed lines in both the UK and Northern France.

As a result Eurostar service are subject to delays of up to 90 minutes. In light of the knock on impact, regrettably it is necessary to cancel some services this afternoon to ensure we can operate all remaining scheduled services

Further information regarding our service tomorrow will be available shortly.

Do only children get the activity pack or would a 13 year old still be able to get it? and where abouts is it given out?

If you are at St Pancras, they don't pay much attention and keep putting them out, so a 13 year old should be fine. They are at the information desk in the departure lounge.
