Those stars are just the christmas decorations

Those stars are being used for 5 Christmas seasons now...

And to make sure you won't get confused, this is the new sign, not the Photoshopped Coca-Cola one!

Edit:

I like the sign a lot!!  Finally one that doesn't involve a corporate sponsor!  It's similar to the ones on the Hollywood Buildings at Disney-MGM Studios.

It looks so silly. I mean the road just goes straight into pavement. You feel there should be some sort of curb there. And what was the point of starting to build curbs when they just filled them in?

I don't think you guys get it.  These sets are supposed to show you how forced perspective is used in the movies to make sets look bigger than they are.  With a curb, that is much much harder (and more dangerous for health and safety) to have a graduated curb, especially in such a small area.  I am with Disney on this one, no need for curbs here.
since 2001 (many before that)

I think that we are all disappointed that it is all just flat land, but look at the rest of it, how can anyone complain about this when you compare the attention to detail and theming in it to what the studios was like before it

Exactly Butlin Boy i thought i was the only won who didn't care about the curbs, yes it would of been a nice extra but look at it, its unbelievable     I bet you won't even recongise that the curbs arn't there when its open.

Maybe they should take all the sets down, demolish Tower of Terror, board off Toon Studio again, and maybe then things are better?

Seriously now, a curb would have looked better, but let's face it, it's faaaar better than how it looked before.  Just an open path ending at that hideous Tram Tour facade...  So I can't wait to stroll down our very own mini-Hollywood Blvd.

please don't take tower down! im so close to getting my aunty to promise to go on it! (She hated the american one :p)

anyway, a curb is a curb, this time next year people wont notice, its an excuse for people to hurt them selfs, i have seen a few people hurt them selfs in the main park curbs

It's amazing how hard some people are looking to find something they don't like (or don't understand, see davewasbaloo's post) and go on and on about it...
