We don't even get these TV spots. Unfortunately Disney focuses too much on kids. I've posted a wonderful new DLRP video in the Magical Moments thread. They should cut that spot to a reasonable length and should air it all over Europe. I'm sure most people would like that spot.

:offtopic:  You might find this thread interesting then. It is a look at different Disneyland ads from the past, and I have popped a couple of DLP ones in there for comparison. I love the early 1990's ones of DLP, hate the ones that came after ToT.

'Thanks for the link. The Indy and Star Tours spots are great. Didn't DLRP use a similar Star Tours video?

I like the last one you have posted the best. The ghosts are hilarious in it's a small world.

I am not sure if there was a specific spot for Star Tours in Paris, I do not remember one.

I think Disneyland California has some of the very best TV ads in the empire. I hate the WDW/DLP ads.

I was thinking about that spot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wxT0r8_Ch0

But it is about the whole Euro Disney resort.

In my opinion that's one of the best TV commercials for a Disney ride:

It's about Space Mountain.

Absolutely, that was an increadible time, and the park had not yet been dilluted. Love it.

Telling a bunch of kids they are going to DL, or seeing a bunch of toons parachuting in has shown how far the place has been dumbed down.

The current DLRP commercials are really cheap and I'm not sure if anyone is attracted to go to DLRP after seeing toons parachuting. I have always enjoyed the WDW commercials that aired on US networks. Although they are a bit cheesy, we liked them, especially this one:

I did like that one, but that is now a 4 year old campaign e.g. as old as the Tower of Terror one.

it always baffles me why they use that Peter Pan Flyring theme music - that film wasn't Disney.

Quote from: "Columbiad"it always baffles me why they use that Peter Pan Flyring theme music - that film wasn't Disney.

I was also surprised when I found out that the music was taken from a non-Disney movie. I like James Newton Howard's work. He has always done a great job.

Back on topic:

MiceAge has posted an article about how the new Star Tours storylines work:

You have to scroll down a bit.

WDWMagic.com have uploaded this nice 6 minute official video, supplied by Disney. I kind of don't want to watch it though, so that whenever Star Tours 2 does eventually come to Paris, there are some surprises left for me:

The live stream opening on Disney's website? I guess it was ok. I thought it was really nice that George Lucas was there, and spoke honestly about the attraction. That was something worth seeing.

And I think it was Bob Iger that mentioned Paris, suggesting that Star Tours existed in more parks than just Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

But, in terms of other Star Wars celebrities, all they could come up with was Anthony Daniels and Daniel Logan; two people that come to WDW every year anyway for Star Wars Weekends. So, that wasn't particularly special or unusual. I guess it's because of these Star Wars Weekends that, whenever they do a special Star Wars event at DHS, it doesn't actually seem all that special.
