^Yup, a double whammy of next-to-nothing on one side of the park, plus increasing demand on other attractions.

And here's another idea..why not recycle some of the Art of Animation. HK has the Animation Academy on Main St.

Im actually quite sad about art of animation it has a pretty big guest capacity and has always had a good audience. Maybe they could just update it a little?

I'm guessing most of what they add on the left side of the park to replace Disney Junior, Armageddon, and Cinemagique will be Marvel.  Hopefully, we'll get a complete re-theme of the area.  Something better than concrete spaces with no shading would be great.  They need to start cleaning up WDS one area at a time like they did with California Adventure - the other low budget Disney park from the same period.

I agree, I do think there's a good chance that from the left side of the Production Courtyard and all of the Backlot will become a Marvel Land. At the least, they could leave most of the attractions that are there now and just retheme them.

Of course, in an ideal world, the whole lot could get redone. Trouble is if you closed it, a la New Fantasyland '83, then that's not only half of the park closed, but also two of the park's highest capacity attractions will be out of action. Not ideal. So probably an attraction-by-attraction approach is more likely.

It is a shame to loose such an attraction. Sad to say though, that its prime real estate for what is invetiably going to become Pixar Studio.

Maybe there could be space for a version of the Animation Academy inside Studio 1?

The last thing Walt Disney Studios needs is more closures. 'Expand, don't replace' should be the motto.

Armageddon is a waste of space so I'll be thrilled if it turns into something else! Are there any suggestions of timescales for these closures?

I love the Disney Junior show, although it would be welcome to see it updated with new puppets and shows. I also love Stitch and hope it stays.

Art of Animation is pretty important to the theming and history of the park. I can understand updating or replacing the clip show and the Mushu bit, but the end building with all the artwork, macquettes, interactive stuff, drawing lessons etc should 100% stay, and would be a huge loss if it went. If the actual Art of Animation building was to go, and Tower of Terror has the dreaded retheme, a huge part of the park's visual identity and unique themeing atmosphere will be gone.

Armageddon is just rubbish though imo. Sorry to anyone that likes it. The tank outside is the coolest part. The pre-show is overly long and hypes the main experience up to levels that can't help being disapointing. Depending on where you stand, sometimes you can't even see what little is going on, the floor shakes a bit and you get some smoke over your head. lol.

Unpopular opinion
The preshow is rubish and  I wouldn't waste time waiting for Armageddon. But I like the main show and would be mad if they replace it with a shop or a meet and greet . It would be ok if they update it (add the marvel characters if they must) or build a new atraction (even though the footprint Is really small so I don't see that happening)

My boyfreind (who is a big theme park fan. And not a disney Newby or theme park Newby at all) LOVES it. It is his favorite atraction from the studios. Standing next to rattatouile and the tower of terror on his list.

So not everyone hates Armageddon.   ;)

But I understand disney can't get away with an atraction where nobody goes to. When they can turn it to something that wil make more people go the studios.
While I hate marvel in disney I understand that it is a plus for a lot of people. So my guess and best hope is that they retheme it to marvel. But pleas no marvel shop or meet and great. The studios need more atractions not less!
