There's nothing official, but photos have emerged showing that the named stones in Fantasia Gardens have all been removed. We have no idea what has happened to the stones, or what will happen to the stones - whether they will be destroyed or re-laid somewhere else.

We find it quite distressing. We were bought our stone by my Mother when we got engaged and it is VERY sentimental.

Just mentioned this in my previous comment... but, when my stone 'expired' my mum contacted DLP and asked if she could renew or get the stone back (this was a few years back now). She was told she could have the stone returned so if DLP go back on their promise I will be annoyed. Going to dig out the actual lease to see what it says and if there's anything legally I can do regarding stone ownership - petty but at least my masters in law is getting used ;D!

Practically, if you can show proof of purchase I don't see why they can't let you have it back. It would only be a pain if people didn't have proof of purchase and wanted it back as people will inevitably lie. The only other thing would be a time limit to say have three years to claim or they get destroyed.

Hmm, that is a real shame  :'( - I always thought they looked nice & added a human touch, similar to the hand prints & autographs that have recently been removed. In general, I understand the need to "refresh" the floors, but surely these should have been permanent, like a (much happier version of) a graveyard - the names to stand throughout the ages, slowly weathered...

We bought our stone in 1998 and always knew it was for 10 years. Every visit since we walk down the steps to make sure our stone is still there, and are always happy to see it; it's like we are being welcomed home.
Every stone is precious to the individual bringing back many happy memories.

The stones at Disneyland California and Walt Disney World Florida have been there for many more years than the ones in Paris. They have a respect for history and their park guests in the American parks.

I don't have a stone, but in the year 2000 I got my picture taken and engraved into the stones at the entrance to Epcot. I love the idea of my face as a child being there and would love to go back and visit it one day. If I found out it wasn't there anymore I think I would be utterly heartbroken, and it really struck a cord with me seeing some of the stones smashed. To think of all those memories and tributes just being tossed away is absolutely awful! I hope Disney replace them.
