InsideDLParis has tweeted that tickets can be bought for the Star Wars - La Soiree event on 16th December for £70. Does anyone know if it is a ticketed only event, or if AP holders, Shareholders Club members or hotel guests have free entry?

Experience the awakening at Disneyland Paris® as Discoveryland celebrates the release of one of the most anticipated films of all time. Star Wars Night is one of the best ways to feel the Force on December 16th, 2015. Dress up to show your side and join private after-hours party in Discoveryland with exclusive Star Wars experiences including Meet&Greets with Star Wars Characters, a flight on Star Tours, and many other unique surprises. You will also receive a commemorative lanyard and event badge to remember the night. The Force is strong with this event!

70£ per person (same price applies for all guests, adults and children over the age of three). Free for children under age 3. To access the evening festivities, a special bracelet will be given to valid ticket-holders upon arrival at the Park entrance, starting at 5:30pm. Parking is not included in the ticket price (10€ per vehicle as of 4:30pm). No more than 6 tickets per order. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, nor can they be linked to any discounts or special offers.

I thought they were going to clear the park, except for event ticket holders, but it looks like they are just clearing Discoveryland - although its not clear how much of it.

£70 seems a bit steep for exclusive use of one land, a lanyard, badge and the other unspecified extras.

Maybe I'm a Scrooge?

I agree A&S&O. I've had my trip booked for 14th-18th December since September, and would have loved to attend this event but it is just far too expensive.

I am hoping that the event doesn't infringe too much upon regular park opening and entertainment on the day.

I think it depends how much you like Star Wars - I mean Inventions is around the same and in my opinion you are mainly paying for the characters. Star Wars characters are much more rare in DLP so I would say if you're a fan then go for it. Plus it says 'after hours' meaning that the park will close earlier than the event I assume.

If it was the same for my favourite character (Stitch) I would pay well over 70 euros but its down to personal budgets etc.

Other than the info posted above, I can't find any other information about the event.

If the were to show the movie, that would definitely pull the punters in. I wonder how many seats there are in the Honey I shrunk the Audience cinema?

I'm not sure who they're targeting with this event. Locals with APs (who have the advantage of easily going there last minute), if they're Star Wars fans, will already have plans to see the film that night (unless they're able to go earlier in the day). And fans who are further away and need to make travel plans will probably need a lot more than a couple of weeks notice....So I wonder who'll be going, people who've already booked a trip on those dates?

I have to admit, if they had made the event around a screening of the film, followed by meeting all the characters, doing Star Tours and enjoying an evening in Discoveryland, I may have seriously considered taking time off work and travelling to DLP for the event. I'm sure it will be a nice little event, but it does seem over priced for having only Discoveryland available (I hope at least all rides in the area are open) and for spending most of the evening queuing to meet Darth Vador or R2D2. Besides, I already have plans for that evening, I'm going to see the new Star Wars movie  ;)

If there were clearer details I would be interested...

IE: Photos and details of all perks included in the price (how big is the poster & frame? what lanyard? Is there a badge or bracelet as previously mentioned or not?) and those not included (WHAT exclusive merch is available? How much will it cost?)

As it is right now, I have no idea whether it is worth the €123 price.

IF it included a screening of the film, park ticket for entry to the whole park all day, and the poster, badges etc were decent, then I'd book the day off work right now and start looking at travel costs immediately. As it is, there are too many unknown factors...

[EDIT] I've just checed the site, and its not 70 and 123 Euros - its £70 / £123 ! Even steeper... and you only get access to the park from 5:30pm onwards...

Is anyone able to email DLP and ask if there are AP, Hotel Guest or Shareholders discounts on the tickets?

I wonder what will happen to the unsold "exclusive" merchandise, lanyards etc.?

With an AP you get a discount. Hotel guest will not get any discount and shareholders I don't know.
I guess same thing as with the tickets for the Halloween party.

I would imagine unsold things would either go to the stores or to the staff shop.

I would either ring or email and ask about the event in more detail. They must know by now what exactly is going to happen.

New information according to http://dlrptoday.com

"A third package also includes tickets to an IMAX 3D screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in its original language, at midnight in Disney Village, plus a Disneyland Paris hotel stay and park tickets. This is bookable only via the booking hotline on 08448 008 898 (UK, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 8.00pm, Saturday 9.00am – 6.00pm – Sunday 10.00am – 5.30pm; Calls cost 5p per min from BT landline, other networks may vary) or 0825 300 500 (France, 0,15 €/min). Car parking is not included, but has a special rate of €10 for ticket holders after 4.30pm."

Now, a midnight 3d IMAX screening of the film, plus all the other stuff? THAT I'm interested in. I imagine the prices will be very high though, so unless I get a big Christmas work bonus I imagine I won't be able to afford it (unless I go myself without the wife and kids!  :P nah I'd never get away with that  :-X )
