loved it! But colour & style wise made me think of the balcony scene from aladdin, with a fire fly instead of genie bee. Similar looking heroine too, only with a frog instead of aladdin! Still pretty special though, can't wait

Wow, it looks really good. The fact that Disney have gone back to their basic animation (hand drawn not CGI) has got to be be best but for me, but the look, music characters, etc, etc are all brilliantly done too. Well done Disney =D>  =D>  =D>

Looking good so far. If the humor in the movie is as good as in the trailer, this will make for a brilliant movie again!

Love the new WDAS website and the distinction they've got going between the two studios now.

I'm stealing what Kristof said to me, but when you see that treehouse, with the boat, you think... SHANGHAI!! Or even a makeover of the Tarzan Treehouse in CA, since it's practically next door to New Orleans Square. It's soo similar.

The artwork is incredible and incredibly beautiful. It's like they're launching straight back into the stunning animations of Treasure Planet but with the wonderful characters of The Little Mermaid and the story of Beauty and the Beast.

Speaking of which... the story of having to kiss a frog to turn it back into a human is a bit similar to that, isn't it?

My goodness the artwork is beautiful. It's a mix of Main street and adventure land or something. I can't wait to see more!

Oprah joins the cast!

From the Hollywood Reporter:
QuoteOprah Winfrey has joined the voice cast of the upcoming Disney animated film "The Princess and the Frog."

At a Disney presentation in Hollywood on Wednesday, John Lasseter, the chief creative office at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, said that Winfrey will play the character of Eudora, the mother of the main character Princess Tiana, voiced by Anika Noni Rose.

The film, set for release in late 2009, is set in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Winfrey has lent her vocal talents to several other animated and fantasy films in the past: Most recently, she played Judge Bumbleton in "Bee Movie," and she also provided dialogue for Gussy the Goose in the live-action "Charlotte's Web."

Randy Newman has written six new songs for the film, it was also announced. One of the songs, "Down in New Orleans," was performed at the presentation by Dr. John.

Look At This

This Image was posted on another Disney/Pixar forum on Saturday! It is thought to be one of the latest released shots from the movie...

All I can think to say about this movie from here is...

The Renaissance of Disney Hand Drawn Animation has been revived by the Hawaiian Shirt!

Lasseter must Surely by Midas! Everything he is touching is turning into Gold!

Stunning Picture... Outstanding, Christmas Can't Come Sooner!
