hey everyone. On another forum Im helping the Disney Cruise British Isles cruisers plan their port excursions. The Magic docks at Le Harve and one of the port excursions is to DLP. A few of them want to do it as they are American and feel its their only chance to see the park.

For those who drive
1. how long would you expect the drive from Le Harve to be
2. how long would you expect to have in the parks if they have to be back on the ship latest 9.30pm? They would be leaving Le Harve at about 8am.

We drive from Caen, we dock quite at 645 and after getting through customs we do stop on the way but we arrive the first time about 10 and the second time about 1030. It all depends on how you go around Paris.

thanks @Sulley15

The Disney Cruise Excursion is saying 3. 5 hours each way from Le Harve. They are expecting about 7 or 8 hours park time but to me that does not seem right.

Its been a few years since we did it and DH drives across Europe regularly, but its taken us about the same as Sully from Caen. Give or take half an hour. I guess it depends on who's driving and how many rest stops they intend on making

Would say traffic is very hit and miss, but I would warn them about driving nearer France... it can be a shock to how the French just indicate and just turn without giving a thought. It can be unnerving but you do get used to it.

But I would strongly recommend by all cost avoid there version of the m25, the road around Paris. We got stuck for well over an hour and didn't move more than a mile. We nearly missed th ferry home!
