Hey,
I ate at Cafe Mickey one evening at about 9pm I think it was and in the 2 hours we were there, we had Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Genie from Aladdin, Friar Tuck, Tigger and Eeyore. Oh, and the food was really great.

Yes you do have to pay more staying off site but since we get the 10% discount with our Dream passes on all the restaurants it off sets the extra cost.
There were no characters at Plaza gardens when we went a few months back. They must have changed it right before we ate there to no characters.
Lucky Nugget's food is fresh and a great selection but we only had 5 of the 8 characters come to our table. So dissappointing... Won't keep us away though. Maybe we'll be luckier next time. We did have 7 characters at our table during breakfast for our daughter's B-day at cafe Mickey's though. We felt that was pretty lucky. Don't know that we would try Cafe Mickey's for dinner though with it being a fixed menu. Buffets really work for us for the picky eaters.
