I went and watched the trailer for the original film (which I'd always thought was a really really good one), and now it seems really small and unexciting! lol  They definately seem to have done a good job of ramping up the action and locations, yet to me it still luckily "feels" like Pirates of the Caribbean... if you know what i mean.

Ah watched this trailer last night on the big screen before Mission Impossible 3 started and wow what a fantastic trailer but it had been cut some of Depp's lines had been taken out like the one about the dress and the opportunities part, but still a fantastic trailer and got the people who I was with excited even more lol, came out the movie and got bombarded with questions of when POTC2 is out :lol: .  Obviously the most anticipated movie of the year not even stupid XMen3 looks half as good

Yep, me too.  I'm starting to worry how I'll cope if it's not as surprisingly amazing as the original. :lol:

That article definitely gives hope though, and it's sounding good.  Reeeaaaly good.  As if I didn't need more convincing anyway.  :wink:

My excitement for POTC 2 gets bigger and bigger with all the trailers I've already watched. Indeed it will be the best movie this summer. I can't await to see it. And to see a really good movie with Johnny Depp again.  :lol: But sadly I need to wait more longer to see it. Because I don't want to watch the movie with the german dubbing. I hate the voice they choosed for Captain Sparrow.  :x  So I need to wait for the DVD release to watch the movie with the original sound and the fantastic voice of Mr. Depp !

Kinou, may I ask where you read this? I've been looking out for any additional news on that spin-off show, but one one seems to be reporting anything about it.  :?

The premiere was last night in Disneyland, so hopefully we can expect quite a few reviews popping up over the next few days.

PIRATES 2 is one of the best summer entertainments I've seen in a while, and it manages to improve on the first film in every way. It's smart, it's funny, it plays out on an epic scale while still putting character first, and it builds to a conclusion that will have audiences twisting in agony as they have to wait for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3: AT WORLD'S END next summer. Basically, it's everything fans of the first film hope it will be, but it's also good enough to win over people who were unconvinced by that first movie.
