That's a very good point — I think it's been said it should be mostly done by December?

Fireworks are definitely confirmed for New Year's, anyway!

Even though I'm not fan of Marvel, I must say that the hotel looks very good.
1000 Euros definitely way out of my reach.

I can see arguments from both sides, as people often want things included rather than pay for it. However, it should be interesting to see how popular it is in the long run.
But for some it may be better, as I've seen complaints that some miss the old system where FastPass did not exist at all.

Worldwide Parks & Resorts / Disney Genie Service and Indiv...

It's happening. Fastpass is dead. The US Disney Parks just unveiled Disney Genie Service, their "new digital service designed to create your best Disney day".

This was teased a couple of years ago as a major trip planning app upgrade, but now it includes one major extra feature: Fastpass (or rather MaxPass) -style ride reservations within the app too.

Sounds like Paris' new Disney Premier Access? Not quite.

• Disney Genie+ is a paid premium version of the service, which also unlocks ride reservations for "selected attractions". Fastpass queues are named Lightning Lanes (oh boy). This costs $15 per person per day at WDW or $20 per day at DLR.

• Individual Attraction Selections run alongside this, allowing you to schedule a time at up to two "highly demanded attractions" each day, for an individual price.

It's all simple and yet, somehow, incredibly convoluted. All the details are in this Disney Parks Blog post: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/08/introducing-disney-genie/

Better than Paris? Worse than Paris? Or all just much-of-a money-grabbing muchness?

I honestly can't make up my mind, although on a per-attraction basis, the Genie+ option does seem to offer far better value for money than Paris?

OutsideEars is reporting that The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands show could return from 23rd October 2021!

Fantastic news for the resort if true, and an excellent addition just in time for wintry weather. I'd always thought it a real shame they kept such an excellent show tied to the festival season, it should be a year-round offering just like these shows used to be.

It's also reported, however, that Disney Premier Access could be offered for this return. So you pay an extra charge for a guaranteed seat and perhaps "best" view. Not entirely a bad thing in my opinion, so long as enough regular seating is left for everyone else? The additional income could help justify the return of more, bigger entertainment productions.

Disneyland Paris Trip Planning / Castle club Disney Hotel DLP
Last post by xlucylu89x - July 11, 2021, 09:16:13 PM
Hi all,

Now before I start, I know the Disney Hotel is currently closed for refurbishment and has no sign of reopening any time soon. We are currently saving for a once in a lifetime trip when it reopens and are planing on going all out to castle club.

There will be myself, my husband and our little one staying in castle club. My sister and mum will also be coming and staying at the Disney Hotel but most likely not on club level..

Mum has offered to babysit a couple of evenings with the dvds they offer in the hotel so my husband, sister and I can stay in the parks later and do the bigger rides/shop and maybe have a wander in the village.

I have a couple of questions about the castle club lounge and breakfasts. If there are three of us at club level and 2 not. Do you think they could come and dine dine us on club level and use the lounge during the day when we go back for afternoon tea etc? It's a bit cheeky I know but wondered if anyone had got away with this before 🤣
