Disneyland Paris published its Community Report on Euro Disney.com

    Disneyland Paris releases its 2009 Community Report
    Wednesday, 14th April 2010, Marne-la-Vallée – Highlighting the many ways that Disneyland
    Paris is involved within and beyond its borders, the second edition of our Community Report
    showcases our ongoing and active commitment to our employees, our guests, our
    environment and our community, with a special emphasis on the well-being of children and
    families.

    corporate responsibility even more effective," said Philippe Gas, CEO of Euro Disney SAS.
    "Since its opening in 1992, Disneyland Paris has a long history of corporate and social
    responsibility. We are continuously looking for new ways to ensure that our development and
    growth goes hand in hand with positive contribution that promotes the overall general welfare
    of our community."

    As the largest single-site private employer in Ile-de-France, Disneyland Paris and its 14,500
    employees impact their community in many different ways. Key highlights include :

    • Disneyland Paris activity generates 56,000 direct and indirect jobs in France (source :
    SETEC, Economic Impact Study released December 2009)

    • As part of the Gateways to Employment program led by local non profit association
    Initiatives 77, Disneyland Paris trained 240 job seekers, with 69 percent of them
    successfully finding a job after completing the program.

    • An 800m2 synthetic skating rink was built at Disney's New York Hotel, ensuring the
    conservation of water and electricity.

    • 139 new environmentally-friendly bungalows are being added at Disney's Davy
    Crocket Ranch, ensuring a significant reduction in the use of electricity.
    • Disneyland Paris signed the national Diversity Charter. The Charter is promoted by
    French industry and commerce (2,500 businesses).
    • 5,000 cast members participated in the Diversity Caravan survey, the first of its kind in
    France.

    • Approximately 600 wish trips were granted to children facing life-threatening medical
    conditions, while over 6,000 hours were donated by Cast Members through the Disney
    VoluntEARS program.

    • Vanessa Paradis, Tony Parker, Zinedine Zidane were among the 116 stars from six
    European countries that customized Mickey Ears. The caps were then auctioned in
    different countries by charities to help support children in need.[/list]
