Hooray, more scaffolding!

http://twitpic.com/536pre - from InsideDLParis

This time, the rocks around the moat are getting some attention. If you look at the full-sized version of that photo, you can see a great close-up of the newly painted brickwork.

Joy, at least it is away from the main castle though.

Also, I was looking through the new brochure and I noticed this:

The scan is crap, but I laughed when I noticed this... I've had this for months now and I never realised its the new (well technically old) rehab colours. =P

Yeah, it's random I know, but it still made me laugh.

and the gold spire is still missing. I wonder when that is due back?

Wow! You can really see how bright the pink is in that photo.

Anyway, it looks like it's the La Gallery's turn to have the refurb.

I think it will take longer to put all the gold on the spire than just painting it blue.

Maybe they haven´t enough money for the spires and has to ask the banks    :P

It really must take quite a bit of gold leaf for all that surface area. Makes me wonder if Cinderella Castle's top spire is gold leaf as well, or simply gold paint.

Can you still go inside up the top where you can see the story of Sleeping Beauty?

From what I know, Yes, the inside hasn't been affected by the rehab.

On other notes, there has been a HUGE discussion about a new crane that has been parked next to the castle for the re-painting of the towers.
(They also mentioned sorry for the lack of quality.
Picture is by alexis0211 from the DCP fourm.

Some people say that this crane will stay throughout the summer until the end of August/September time.
I'm kinda upset because I thought it was over... but no. I think the colouring is fine. But oh well... Nothing can be done.

Has anyone got a better picture of this? Is this the view from main street?

Josh

I don't think it will be that obnoxious for people that go. It's better than having the entire castle covered by tarp. ;)

EDIT: Wait.... Why is that crane on the east side of the castle? The roofs on that side are done, except for the golden turret. Are they still painting the walls?

Someone on Micechat mentioned that the castle will not be finished until the end of August. It has always been communicated that way by Disney. The Micechat member says that they need the sunlight to do the final colouring. That's why they need the crane.

A really excellant photo of the castle. The plaza looks especially lush in this picture.

That's my favourite photo so far! :D

Have all of the pink walls been painted yet (at the front), or are there still a few towers left?
