What about spring school holidays for ile-de-france/paris area (last week of april 2016)?
Very very crowded also on weekdays?

I'm hoping to book May 2nd (bank holiday) to 6th, 2016.
I think the French schools will have just gone back after their Spring break. I don't know about crowds this week?

The alternate dates I have in mind are March 16th-20th.

I booked May 2nd to 6th, then discovered May 5th is a French bank hol, so Thurs and Fri will probably be very busy. Oh well, can't be any worse than last month!

The first couple of weeks there are Easter holidays across various countries, so it will be busy. The second half of April should be quieter...

This is during the French winter holidays season also some regions and Germany and maybe other countries have their winterbreaks as well. It shouldn´t be super crowded but it shouldn´t be a typical walk in season.
