We always go to DW Florida, but due to having house renovations we can't really afford it this year. I was thinking of going for 4 nights around 8th October instead. A few questions - is there enough to do for 5 days in Paris parks? I can't seem to find much information on how busy it will be at that time of the year?
Is it cheaper to DIY or is it just as cheap booking direct with disney?

DC

I went 4 days and saw around 90% of it (didn't went to some rides and didn't see some shows) so there's definitely enough to do for 5 days.
DYI definitely before going to other providers. Compare the offers in all european pages because offers and prices vary a lot. At the top of my mind, check the spanish, english, irish, french, italian and german pages, compare the prices and even if the best offer is on a page you don't understand, they are all the same and you can buy by replicating the steps one by one between the page you understand and don't understand.

We always do 6 days so definitely enough to do x

good to hear there is plenty to do. Sorry if Im being a bit daft but when you say check the various european offers do you mean direct with disney?
My dates I would like are are October 8th to 12th 2018 (4 nights)

Don't expect the same experience as WDW, after all it's 2 rather than four parks, so less variety.  I can do 4 nights/5 days there pretty comfortably.

If you want more variety, there is Val d'Europe Shopping centre 20 mins walk away/short bus ride away & in there also is a Sea Life Centre.  Or get the train into Paris one day.  ~45 mins direct train & you are in one of the great cities of the world.

Sorry for not being clear, I'm talking about the different country pages like:
http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/
http://www.disneylandparis.ie/
http://www.disneylandparis.fr/
etc.

some things you need to know about Disneyland Paris which are different to the American Parks

1. You dont have to book using the website for your country. Disneyland Paris has different deals and offers on the different country websites.
The other country websites to check are
http://www.disneylandparis.ie/
http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk
http://www.disneylandparis.fr
http://www.disneylandparis.de
http://www.disneylandparis.it
http://www.disneylandparis.be
http://www.disneylandparis.nl

2. Disneyland Paris does not mail anything in the post. You get a confirmation email which you bring with you to checkin

3. When you book direct with Disneyland Paris you are booking a hotel and park hopper tickets package

4. Your park tickets are valid for both arrival day and departure day

5. You can book direct with Disney through any of the websites. When you book through the website you will pay the full amount at the time of booking

6. You can also book direct with Disney by phone.

7. When you book direct with Disney by phone you pay a 15% deposit and the balance is payable 30 or 60 days before arrivial, I cant remember which

8. When you have booked you will get a confirmation email with your itinerary, you will need this email to check in

9. Once you have your confirmation number you need to go to the website / country you booked with, not the country you live in. You will need to create a new MY DISNEY ACCOUNT on that website

10. When you log in to your new My Disney Account you will see your itinerary. If you have a balance to pay you will see an online payment form.

11. To pay your balance you can either phone again or pay online

Disneyland Paris is Frenchified Disney. It is an American style themepark with the cultural and social aspects of France and central Europe. American and those who have only been to the American parks often have a negative view of Disneyland Paris. They expect it to be Magic Kingdom scooped up, made smaller and transported to France. This is not the case. Disneyland Paris has its own unique charm and atmosphere.

Alot of the rides and attractions are different variations of those in the American parks. Disneyland Paris does not have Magic bands or Fastpass +. Disneyland Paris CM's are not the same happy smiley all American customer service that are in the USA parks. There is a lower standard of upkeep and maintenance in Disneyland Paris. Smoking around the park is very common, despite it being against the rules and general guest behaviour is less polite.

All that being said, go to Disneyland Paris to experience the familiar in a different way. Go to experience the Disney magic, go with an open mind and enjoy Disneyland Paris as a standalone park

thank you for your in-depth reply, I shall have a look at the various sites tomorrow. The complication is I need an accessible room so I don't think i can book it online myself, I think I need to phone to gain access to these rooms.

polar vixen

Even if you phone you can ask to use a offer currently on in another country. Also with you saying you need an accesible room- do you know if you're booking a room for a disabled person anoyher person in the room is eligible for a discount of approx. 50 per night as they take off the price of the carers tickets from the total? Again this can only be done over the phine but very worth while!
