Hi,
we are back at DLP this November but for the first time we have to think about age restricted rides; we will have my first grandchild with us he will be 9 months old by time we arrive and his parents would like him to experience at least one ride.

My question is are there any suitable rides that we can take him on?

It's a small world would be no problem I guess.
Neither would Le Pays des Contes de Fées be. Or Le Carrousel de Lancelot.

Thank you so much for your reply; I printed a list from DLP recommended for preschool; but was wary as my grandson is so young for some of the rides, but after reading your list I will be very happy to pass this to my son. We as a family have over the years been on most of the rides but not on Slinky and Ratatouille, so will look forward to this and particularly having the next generation to enjoy DLP. :)

Hi Mickeyspal!

It's surprising how many rides babies can do at DLP. I agree with all of the above except for the Tea cups. The ride really pulls when it spins and might be too much for the babies neck. I opted out for my 1 year old. The rest are perfectly fine though, really mild and not jerky or bumpy. The colors, lights and music are great especially IASW. Also try some character interactions. I thought my daughter would be afraid or not really react at all, but she loved it! She laughed her head off. It makes for some very precious pictures. Have fun!!!

I also agree with all the above except Pirates - there are two sudden drops (one small and one a bit larger) that are fast and in the dark that might scare your grandchild.

Hi All,
Thanks for all the great suggestions; I'm think IASW will be a favourite, between his parents and me we'll have him on as many rides as possible,
I'm looking forward to having the little one with us this year and seeing his face when he comes face to face with the characters, especially Donald Duck as he is favourite, for now anyway; it'll be like our first time at the park when we saw everything for the first time. Roll on November. :D
