Wherever you are in the park I would aim to be back on main street at 4.45 by the time it comes round to that area you are looking at about 5.45 I know its a long wait which is why we choose to sit there early as my husband doesn't mind sitting with my little boy to recharge themselves and i can peacefully browse the shop's without him breathing down my neck!!!

I don't think it's a safety issue in the slightest since the chance of anything go wrong is so minuscule and sometimes not even a consideration (like with the stage shows). However people sitting do take up much more room which on busy days simply isn't feasible.

You think if you were sitting people wouldn't literally walk over you in the Paris parks?! :/ lol. We've had people steal seats from under us in restaurants in the Paris parks. IMO while safety might not be the CM's reason for letting people stand I certainly think it is a factor and I'd prefer to stand to make sure I don't get walked on!

The only time I've ever seen everyone stand for the fireworks was during March 2015 when it was too cold and rainy to sit. Every other time everyone sits on Central Plaza which I prefer.

I've traditionally gone in January and everyone stood for Dreams. When I went in July I was surprised everyone was sat down an assumed they would stand up when it started. They didn't, except a few who got shouted at!
It's tricky as sitting everyone possibly gets a better view but less people fit.
A big hate of mine is people near the front putting a child on their shoulders. Once someone who was literally standing right at the front did it!

I sat down once for Dreams and it took about an hour for my bum cheeks to regain their feeling and my hips to stop hurting! Never again! But I'm only 5ft 1" so I'm sure I'm easy to see over  ;D
