Hello I'm new to the site :) not new to Disney but first time I'm going to DLP without also visiting France!

I booked a couple of months ago for July, standard room in SL, no meal plan but 2 days/nights free.
I'm now considering upgrading to GF Lake view room, with half board plus offer. The price difference is £600. Could anyone tell me if this is worth it for 2 adults (and a baby but she's 9 months and won't be having meals) for 5 days? Or would I be fine just to take snacks for during the day and then get our meals separate?

Thanks for any tips :)

That works out £60 a day each.

For that you get:

- A separate reception to check in
- One fast pass each that can be used between certain hours
- Access to lounge in the afternoon with free snacks
- Breakfast in your hotel
- A meal in a buffet restaurant or most table service restaurants (from a set menu) plus a soft drink

To give you an idea, a fairly standard cost for a main course is about £25, the buffets are about £35. You can get a three course meal in a table service restaurant for about £35. Breakfast is £15 in SL although if you're in the GF you get this included regardless of meal plan. So you're paying an extra £10-£25 a day for the other stuff depending on how you look at it.

I think the value of the meal plans totally depend upon how much you eat - if you like a hearty breakfast and a big three course dinner they're good value. If not, you can probably do it cheaper without them.
