We usually get Eurostar direct but have just booked for January changing at Lille. We have approx a 90 minute wait for our train to Disney. Are there any cafes, restaurants or shops at Lille station? We will be travelling with 2 children so want to stop them getting bored!!

There is a café, we find by the time we've gotten off the train, waited for an empty lift, taken turns going to the bathrooms, (0.70 each, even kids), and then had a drink and snack we only have half an hour or so, then your manically watching the screens to find out which platform you need to be at for your next train.  It sounds a long time, but it's not too bad at all, we usually add a couple of little cars or something to the bags for the kids to race along the floor (while we panic about them tripping people up), but it's enough to keep them out of real trouble....or tantrums

Right outside the station (less than 5 mins from the platform) there's also a shopping mall with a large Carrefour. If you usually bring stuff like snacks and drinks along for your journey, it's worth considering packing less from Tesco at home and stocking up in Carrefour. It means less to carry through security at St Pancras too. Admittedly I usually travel with adult groups and no kids, but we've usually gotten through a decent supply of Prosecco by the time we get to Lille, when it's time to stock up on the good stuff! Of course you could apply this logic to juice, squash, etc too!!! Oh - and cheese, of course!

We do the indirect train every year and we get the kids hot chocolates and muffins and sit in the little cafe. THE transfer time does whizz by xx
