I've done a lot of searching on the forums but wanted to create a new thread as my exact question hasn't been answered recently.

So...

Are you able to request a kettle for your room? When you have stayed in DLH have you already had a kettle in your room?

I last stayed in June 2015 (in the DLH) and didn't have a kettle but have since seen most people have. The reason I ask is because this is a surprise trip, if I tell my Mum to pack a kettle it will be damn obvious where we are going! In October I didn't ask in Sequoia because I don't really drink tea but my Mum always has to have a good old Yorkshire tea in the morning.

Thank you in advance :)

I'm sure you can request one at the reception on arrival. I have looked online and it doesn't seem like you get one in the room, sorry.

I've stayed in DLH once before and there was no kettle, however we are staying there as of today so I can let you know. Just request upon arrival my nan does and never had a problem before 😊

It's fine if I can request one I just didn't want to look an idiot asking if there was one already and it's just that I hadn't found it ;D

In the more expensive hotels they are either already in the room or free by request. In the economy hotels you need to hire one.
