Nearing completion of the Disney's Newport Bay Club refurbishment, another hotel seems to be starting its renovation: Disney's Hotel Cheyenne.

Last year some pictures of room tests where already spreader on the internet.

Now recently @ED92Live has posted some pictures on Twitter showing some tubes being digged into the ground. And also some poles that appear to be some kind of support for fencing off the area.

We are due there in July. When I booked early last year I asked about refurbishment because I heard rumours it was here or the New York & was told there wouldn't be so you could imagine my surprise when it was announced not long after booking. I'm not bothered because I only use the rooms to sleep in but think they do need to tell you upon booking of possible refurbs if not already announced. I hope they keep the bunk beds in most of the rooms because that's what we go to the Cheyenne for.
I hope more pics will be put up of the building works because I like to see the difference  :)

Some rooms are supposed to be keeping their bunk beds but a lot are going to be the Texan rooms

The room looks amazing. The bunk beds were a real hit with my kids and they will miss them. We have always stayed at Cheyenne and book two adjoining rooms as we have three children. The pull out bed is that a single or a double as I'm trying to work out future stays.
Does anyone know if Santa Fe has bunk beds?

Santa Fé definitely has no bunk beds.

OT: These rooms look amazing. I like the leather couch.
For our next visit around Halloween we were in doubt between Davy Crockett Ranch and Cheyenne. But I will definitely opt for Cheyenne if by then the renovations have finished.

The new rooms look really nice!

You can book both new room options by August 2016 so I'm toying with doing a mini-break with my eldest godson to try them out.

Are they not keeping bunks in ANY rooms? If not, we won't be staying onsite again.

It says both options can be booked by August 2016 but some are July 2016.

I think because of the noise levels they won't bother putting people in Texas rooms until they are done with surrounding areas.

Thanks for the link looks amazing! Although I'm pretty sure the bunk beds will be missed? But wow the theming is incredible  ;D

Yeah, I like the new design but no bunkbeds will be a killer for our family :( What are you supposed to do if you have 2 adults & 2 kids (would have thought that's quite a common family dynamic, no?  ::) ) ?

I have a boy and a girl and they wouldn't want to share the same bed! When they were younger and didn't mind sharing a bed we would stay in the Santa Fe, but moved to the Cheyenne specifically because of the bunk beds. Its surprisingly difficult to find a room with a double & 2 single, or a double & bunkbeds... we're looking into staying at WDW and are running into similar problems... seems like a very strange oversight for a place aimed mostly at families...  ???
