Quote from: "luke85"I went to the audition on Thursday too! I made it through to the final 30 :)

What happened in the next round was that out height was measured, we filled in some more paper work, had a photo taken, and they fitted a few people (only about 8 people) with wigs and makeup. They then gave us cards confirming that we were on their waiting list for 6 months, and that when they need someone of our height & abilities then they'll be in touch. So although I was thrilled to have made it to the final stage, I'm realistic that they still might not find a use for me in the next 6 months. If they don't, I'll definitely audition again, it was a great experience!

Only 3 people got offered contracts there and then, one girl I was queuing with is to be Princess Tiana!

Hi, im pretty new to this forum. i went to the audition on thurs too but didnt make it through, absolutly devostated. I only got there late tho, do you know how many people actuly got positions?

Only 3, as it says above ;) The rest of the group were put on a waiting list for 6 months.

Hi,

I just got a reply by e-mail to my application to work as a character. I didn't realise that the contracts were 6months and I'm a student so 3months is my max. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get hold of Daniel Harding, or knew anything about the CDD contracts and how to apply for a job on those?

Any information would be great thanks, because I REALLY want to work at Disneyland Paris this summer!

Please help!

Thanks :D

Hey guys, I had a few questions about working for dlrp!!

First of all, do you get to choose what characters you want to be or do they pick for you??
Second, If you do become a character, what do you learn?? (ie signatures etc)
lastly, what is the height restiction on costumed characters for boys as I'm 1m72???

Thanks, Sean

Quote from: "luke85"I have no idea what the song was, but I've been trying to find it on YouTube all week! I don't even know if it was a parade song at DLP or another park. The words had something to do with a carnival I think?!

If it's still the same as six years ago, it's the music of "Mickey's Party Gras" you're looking for... I think it was released on California and Tokyo albums so you might find it someplace.

No, you don't get to chooose. All characters are in height catagories and the characters you play all depend on your height range.

If you are successful you will go through a training coarse which will teach you all the characters actions and movements(including autographs).

There is no restriction on costumes characters for either male nor female :) The smallest characters start at around 4'11 and the tallest are all around 6ft.

(All this info is from WDW Cm's but I doubt it varies much in Dlp)

anyone thats interested in auditioning for a CM.. character :)
there are auditions at Pinapple dance studios on 30th April, not sure if you have to register or anything but you can find information here
http://corporate.disney.go.com/audition ... index.html   .. then search disneyland paris auditions !
Good luck to anyone auditioning :) please tell us how it went ! Ive emailed the studios to ask if I can audition and they suggested waiting til the auditions in July because of my age (18 in august)
Just abit of pointless information for you there however this does suggest there are auditions in July :D (fingers crossed for them being in leeds!)

for whoever asked about the height restrictions for males.. not sure if you've seen my earlier post but just to remind you..

Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Mary Poppins 165cm-170cm
Mulan 157cm-168cm,
Princess Tiana 165cm-173cm
Sleeping beauty, Jasmine 163cm-168cm

Hey _Natalie_x , I was the one that asked about the height restrictions!! Thanks again, and i think i will go for an audition when im just about 18 (im 17 in may so :(  ) When i am just about 18, I will put in for an audition and if i don't get in with that, I will apply to be a cast member in one of the "boutiques" !!!! Just so people know, Disneyland Paris Casting have a youtube page! The link is: [YouTube]http://www.youtube.com/user/disneylandcasting/[YouTube]
There is a series of vids on the channel called "its only magical......but i like it!!" which is, I find, brilliant! They are in french but from episode 2 they are subtitled in english! They also have a Facebook page but all of it needs to translated to english!

Spread the magic!!!
