Day one - Chapter one

One of the most nervewracking days of my life.

I had booked a week and a half ago and it had all seem sorted, but we all know with me and DLP, if anything can go wrong, it will. (As I am learning as I write this on the ferry home where we've just been turned round to Calais for a medical emergency halfway through.)

Tube drivers decided to strike and run no tube on that day, buses were running but likely to be very busy, this was going to be painful.

Eventually I found a decent route which would only be an hour extra. It was sorted, obviously not ideal but certainly doable and was actually rather peaceful.

I arrive at Victoria at 8pm whilst watching Ratatouille on my iPod, I'm a bit early so pop into the Wetherspoon for the last supper!

I make my way for my 9pm pick up and the coach is early so we go straight on the road!

I try to get some sleep before our ferry crossing at 1am. Of course this didn't happen!

Day two - chapter one

I wake up when we arrive at a service station for breakfast, I enjoy the rest before our 90 minute journey to Disneyland Paris!

Longest 90 minutes ever!

We got there at 9am, 30 minutes before Main Street opens, so I went in world of Disney and McDonalds for wifi.

I finally went in to see who was out for EMH, I was gonna give priority to Chip and Dale, to my shock they weren't out, neither was Goofy, so I queued to meet Donald, but after 15 minutes I hadn't really got anywhere in the queue so left to do some rides.

For some unknown reason I made the decision to go on Pirates (one of the few rides I hadn't done and wasn't too fussed about doing)

It wasn't awful but I didn't get the storyline, the Pirates were great as was the scenery, but it was hard to follow.


Now to get my bearings and see what time my jungle buddies were out.

Day two, chapter three

The set was a bit delayed, but round the corner I saw Rafiki! I was first in queue and went and met the baboon!

Me and him monkeyed about for a minute and had a little dance


I spoke to the amazing cast member who told me no Jungle Book characters today, but Timon in an hour, that's me back in an hour then! (Please note, this woman was amazing in helping me out!)

I then had a wander, I saw Hook leaving and incoming were Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella and Prince Charming!


(Is it just me or does he look a little like Josh Gad?)

I came across Genie! I was disappointed that the CM said Genie was the only Aladdin character out today, it had become one of my favourite films recently!

I queued up for him and showed him my Tsum Tsum of him whom I had only got a few days before and am in love with!






I came from this meet with such a buzz, what an amazing character!

I like the Genie photo almost as much as the Tigger one in your last report.

You are kind of my opposite at Disney, I skip Character interactions and love Pirates most of all. It's good we Disney folk have different passions though, means one less person in the character queues and one less person waiting in line for a ride.

I adore both photos, although there is one more photo I have later on in this trip which I adore more than both of them!

I do enjoy rides, but for me the Characters just give me an amazing experience, so I do as many of those as I can! I'm unsure how my upcoming trip will go attraction wise, but we shall see!

Day two, chapter three

I went to queue for Timon, the crowd started to get big. (Probably the longest queue all day, 25 minutes in August isn't too shabby!)

I was disappointed when Rafiki came round the corner.

But was cheerful when Timon joined him, heck I guess this makes up for Rafiki blanking me in March



I gave my phone to the cast member and awaited to meet my meerkat! (I later found 3 photos of the other cast member in my deleted folder )



Timon is such a fun character to meet!

I then went and found the Tweedles! Whilst queueing I saw Tiana walking by!

It was my time!

Day two, Chapter 4 - GEPPETTO!

I was looking for a certain rich Uncle, I was waiting and needed a drink, so got one at the Ice Cream place in Fantasyland (sorry didn't catch the name!), I was waiting to get my drink when suddenly I saw a random character, PLUTO!

I love Pluto and hadn't met a VIP all day! I run over to him and get my photo with the one and only!




I love him!

I was gutted to see no Scrooge as of yet, so did the best thing to cheer me up and queued for the upcoming meet of Pinocchio and Geppetto, 13:45 and they came out, but the character handler decided a Geppetto and Pinocchio choosing scrum was better than a line that had been forming for about 20 minutes!

As per usual kids were pushing through, I stood my ground and decided to play dirty, my sister had drawn me loads of character pictures to take with me on the condition that I got the pictures signed.

I got them pictures out and stood there quite cockily (sorry mum ) and all of a sudden I got chosen, the walk to them two was one of the most rewarding things especially seeing the children who pushed's parents looking quite angry, my heart bleeds.

Geppetto and Pinocchio signed my book and my sisters drawings and Geppetto seemed happy when I informed him that I was a massive fan of his work.




Incredible meet, despite the fact it was a scrum, them two really made a fantastic memory!

At this point I was boiling, so finally got my drink! It was one of those moments where I was scared I was getting heatstroke.

Three more characters down, wonder who else will enter my report?

Day two, chapter five - TEA FOR THREE

I saw two characters meeting near 'Meet Mickey' it was only Mad Hatter and Alice! They had a 15 minute queue, which was still quite long considering I hadn't really queued that long all day! (despite the fact it was mid August!)

I'd never met Hatter so I was chuffed to meet him for the first time.

Hatter loved his drawing but Alice was wondering where hers was! Alice offered to sign it but the Mad Hatter told her that she wasn't allowed as it was his face and not hers!




They suggested we had a cup of tea, I adore tea so jumped at the opportunity!


Again, I was so lucky that day to have so many amazing character interactions, I don't think there was one I didn't have so much fun at!

I did a last minute swoop of Adventureland looking for Hook or Smee, I saw my favourite villain who I was told wouldn't be out, JAFAR!!!!!!

I adore Jafar so much and Aladdin is so close to becoming my favourite film ever so I was well chuffed, it was another scrum, so I stood by and took out my Jafar Tsum Tsum which I only got a few days before (and is one of my favourites!), Jafar saw them and chose me as soon as I'd arrived!



Jafar was fascinated! He finally got the recognition he deserved!

Jafar was incredible and in character as usual, thanks Jafar for providing me with an AMAZING experience!

Day two, chapter 6 - Hot or Cold?

What I totally didn't see was that ABU was out meeting with Genie, they both left and the cast member (who was incredible), told us all 3 would be back at 8pm, WOOP WOOP!


I fancied heading to the Studios as I hadn't that day so far, so I went to the studios and saw a shockingly short queue for Woody (about 25 minutes, but 25 minutes for Woody in August is incredible!)

YEEHAW


I went up and met the cowboy (who signed my autograph upside down, cos yolo)


THUMBS UP IF YOU'RE HAVING FUN!

It was still boiling and Single Rider was 10 minutes for Parachutes, so hey lets go to TSPL!


So I queued for 20 minutes (as you do) and finally got on the ride, I got strapped in and suddenly started to get wet, it went from heatstroke weather to torrential rain! We got evacuated off the ride and huddled into a little space, it was getting worryingly close to parade time, so I went to the main park to get a spot, I got a front row spot next to a mum and daughter who were on the same coach as me and waited, with 2 minutes to go, the rain rain rain started pouring again! Parade delayed.

5 minutes later announcement, parade cancelled   GREAT! I was a lot more upset at this than I thought I would be, I had a look round for random meets, but no avail, so I went into the Disneyland Hotel to relax for a while before the characters return!
