Yes the village usually stays open til around midnight and there is plenty to do - great restaurants and bars, and some fantastic shops to look around. The gallery seems almost more like another attraction than a shop. There is also a games arcade, and a cinema (though the films are mostly in French. Billy Bob's and (sometimes) Annettes have evening entertainment such as live singers, groups, bands, DJs etc.

The bars in your hotels will usually stay open til late too and some may have entertainment depending on the time of year.

I second the idea to go check out Val D'Europe, its a fantastic place, and only one train stop or a 20 minute walk from the village :)
