Have these both now stopped???

As far as I'm aware these were indeed both stopped after the November 15th 2014 changes.
There should be a lot more characters in the park during EMH though.

I just went in Dec & although there wete no characters in the hotel they were there down Main Street in Extra Magic Hours & at stars n cars in Studios & they'd pop up randomly off programme too

It's just the VIP's: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip 'n Dale.

They did get special brand new outfits for the Christmas season.
But it's not loads of characters, just the VIP's.
