Hi! When we visited earlier this year, we went up in to the castle andlooked at the windows, we also visited the glass shop and the one with the christmas decorations. I never knew you could go under and see the dragon!! How do you get to it? I didnt see any doors, or signs!! Thanks

There's also a stairs down from one of those shops if I recall correctly, but I don't think it's sign-posted.

Oh thank you! I cant believe I never saw this!! Ah well, 174 days from now and we will just be on the VEAShuttle headig to the hotel new york! Think we will go to the dragon pretty much as soon as we arrive, see inside the castle again and do a few rides before we eat at auberge! Thanks for your help

I'm excited for you, because you just discovered it!  It's one of the favorites of my daughter. She could stay there FOREVER!  At the end I begin to roar like the beast begging to go on.

There are 3 entrances to the Dragon's Lair.

1) To the left of the castle as you face it from Central Plaza before you go up the ramp to the castle.

2) Once in Fantasyland keep to your left and next door to the Snow White Shop you'll see a path leading away from Fantasyland this runs parallel to the Adventureland entrance.

3) Inside Merlin L'Enchanteur shop inside the castle there is a wooden door which you open and descend the stairs into the lair.

Oooh fantastic!! Thanks everyone!! I cant believe we never knew about it, but atleast were going back so we will see it. My little one likes dragons and things too so I think she will love it oh happy days  we definatley wont miss it this time!! Michelle

My nephew loved this too, because of the 3 entrances he actually thought there were 3 dragons under the castle.  By day 3 he had worked it out and Uncle Simon had to buy him a Pumba to make up for tricking him.

It's always nice to discover new stuff, and I think you'll love the dragon! It's so lifelike, I go to see it every time and still love it!

I know what you mean a visit to the dragon is a bit of a tradition for us, bit like going to the Statue of Liberty display. One of those things we have to tick off our list every time we go.

That's the one thing I didn't really like about the new Maleficent live-action film, she doesn't turn into a dragon any more, Diaval does, however she does fly, which the animated version does not.

It's quite reassuring to find that it's not just me that can miss the otherwise obvious details!  We had been to DLP at least 3 times before realising there were 2 rides down behind the Old Mill / Labyrinth area.  When I one day noticed them on a park map I couldn't understand how it was possible to bypass their existence on so many previous occasions, LOL.

The dragon is something that makes Disneyland Paris very special, so it's always worth a visit at some point during your trip

Thanks for the replies everyone!! I also missed quite a few bits out of the park, some i didn't even know existed, although we had a map, i think we just did the "main" attractions, missed all the shows in the studios apart from the motor show! we did all the rides we wanted, some more than once, but as this will now be our 2nd visit, I'm more relaxed, know what to expect, and know we want to do and what we don't, we even "gain an extra day" this time, as we wont be doing the day trip to Paris, we didn't go into either park all day as we left at 9am and got back around 7pm! We wanted to go to Pocahontas village, which we never did, we never even saw the boat ride where you go through the villages (sorry don't know name) and see Disney jnr live on stage! So this time, i plan to do everything again, plus what we never did, including eating at auberge, annettes michelle
