Hi,
We are travelling 15th Feb 2014, staying at hotel new york for 4 nights!! Were so excited!!  We are a  group of 9 altogether, none of us have been before. We will have 3 little ones with us, aged 6,6, and 3.

We have gone for half board premium package, and i'm just wondering where is good to eat? We want to go to cafe mickey, and buffalo bill's show, but where else is good?

Also, what rides will be suitable for the kids-more for the 3 year old?

Has anyone been before in feb? Wondering if it will be busy then-its half term where we are from that week?
I'm sure I will think of lots more to ask, but can anyone give us some advice about it, like i say it's our first time, so anything will be appreciated!

Thanks.
First trip ever HNY 15th Feb 2014
Second trip to HNY 17th Feb 2015!!!

Hi,

Sorry I can't give you any advice as it will be my very first visit too... Just wanted to say I come home on 15th Feb so we are practically having our first visits at the same time!

Have fun xx

I went February 15th and 16th this year.
The 15th was a Friday, and really not that busy at all (due the fact it was still Valentine a little at the park).

The next day we only went to The Village, and left around noon, and while we were walking to the parking lot, people were flooding in, looked like the Saturday was going to be a very busy day.

I personally haven't been in feb but my brother and his family have and said it was fairly quiet- this was comparing to when we went in summer months. Look to see if any other countries have holidays at this time, if just where you are from then should be ok. We went May half term (UK)this year and it was a lovely time to go, only  UK officially off  on hols then.

Rides-All of rides in fantasy land are suitable, POTC in adventure land, BUZZ main one in Discovery land, Phantom Manor  in Frontierland. In the studios you have Aladdin, Shows: Animagique, Playhouse Disney, Stitch. Check out DLRP magic site for all the info on rides.

Hi we will be there at the same time as you guys. This will be our sixth feb trip
as its our duaghters bday on valentines day . In comparison to our four other trips feb on the weeks days seems less busy but every year it seems to get busier and weekends are very busy with locals. Its half term in the uk that week also. Havin said all that its a great time to go can be very cold we have had snow the last three years but that just makes it even more magical. To see the parade coming down main street with real snowflakes falling is amazing. If you need any more help let me know.

nathalie

Also, keep in mind, that in February some rides might be closed.

Thank you, im glad our 3 year old will be big enough to get on the rides, shes fairly tall for her age! Think we will book cafe mickey, buffalo bill show, inventions n not sure of the other one yet. I also think we will try some  other places in the day but pay for them and use our vouchers for evening meals with charactors!! Im so excited! Were not telling our girls that were going until christmas day, its a present for them (unfortunatley we couldnt make it over xmas), so they can count down til we go. And of xmas, its 52 days!! Im going to filla box with glitter and 'magic dust', put some disneyland paris bits in such as snowglobe, autograph books from disny store, and a brochure etc etc, and let them open it up! There faces wil be a picture : )

this will be my 2nd year going in feb half term.  we're there 16-20 Feb.    my only warning is it's very very cold.  we were prepared and took thermals, layers and ski jackets.  a friend hadn't appreciated how cold it would be and was wearing almost all their clothes in layers every day.
there are some closures, last year was pirates of the carribean which was a shame as one of our favourites.  also you may find the storybook boats and casey junior are not open every day.  oh the train wasn't running either.  but we really like going at this time.  it is busy but not horrendous (I've been at Halloween which was much worse).  My daughter at 3 went on pretty much everything - only things she hasn't done yet are space mountain, Indiana jones, crush, tower terror, RC racer and rock roller coaster.
we're going as a group of 8 this year, first time going in a bigger party.  for food I would recommend the Hotel New York parkside diner, we ate in there twice last year.  easy to please everyone, lots of choice and the puddings were great.  we also ate in cafĂ© mickey though not going to do that again.  we're going to pay the extra and eat at Inventions in the Disneyland hotel.  our other food voucher went on the buffet restaurant in the Studios - the one with Remy mouse but can't remember the name.  again, plenty of choice but was pretty busy.  the breakfasts in the Hotel New York are lovely (particularly the orange juice), eat lots in the morning to keep you going.

I dont have any experience of meal plans or going in february but i had to write to say i absolutely love the way you are planning to tell them how you are going the box full of magic dust and disneyland paris bits sounds awesome wish i had thought of something like this for my dd's  ;D Autograph books are brilliant as they love getting all the characters autographs.
I have been when my youngest was only just 2 and she was able to go on everything we expected obvious rides like big thunder mountain, space mountains etc that she wouldnt be able to go on. She was very wary of the rides at first and a few times started to get a little upset but once he ride had started was absolutely fine. We are going next at the end of January and we are expecting it to be really cold so will be packing warm waterproof clothes just in case.

February is a pretty good time to go especially if you get a break with the weather, the crowds are far smaller, just remember to check the weather forecast and wrap up well, there's nothing worse than standing in ride queues or even walking round the parcs when it's bitterly cold. Thermals are definitely the order of the day

michellemumof2xx

Thank you everyone, were expectin it to be freezing so have strted buying lots of layers, jumpers, warm coats etc. Were planning on taking a trip in to paris too but booking it with our travel agent (thomson). Has anyone else done this? I agree, I think its the perfect time to go, its not too hot, too busy...id rather wrap up, I think its more magical whem its darker and colder! Roll on feb...116 days to go!!

If you have two young girls the princess meal in the Auberge de Cendrillon may be worth considering.
