Don't remember where I saw it but it was a picture from today or yesterday taken within the tents and they're still not doing anything else then refurbing the floor...

Wow! Here's a photo of it almost done!

The good old lamps are back and they're almost ready to add the grass. It seems very unlikely that we'll be getting the partners statue or a flowerbed in the centre, though, but I'm fine with that. :)

Wow, it looks so pretty: clean and spacious!
"It's like when you go and you see a really great band live for the first time, you know, and nobody's saying it but everybody's thinking it: "We have something to believe in again."

I really hope that it's going to stay like that - nice and empty - so there will be enough space to see Dreams! So people aren't standing on the grass areas. >.<

J'ai hâte de voir ça as they say! I don't really lament the loss of the central flowerbed either (during shows, people would have treated it like pavement anyway), but I wonder if it will have some sort of unwanted effect on traffic flow? I always get the impression that Disney tries to break up straight passageways (especially to weenies) to spread people out a bit. Strategically placed greenery of that sort can be found all over any Disney park. There's always a fork in the road, an obstacle to circumvent. This will effectively free up a straight highway from Main Street to Fantasyland. Just a thought, haha.

mmm, I think they probably do do that in most places. I think it's referred to as interrupting 'desire lines' with planters, walls, features etc. If it's just grass (or even a flower bed perhaps) it will just get walked over.
And I guess the biggest desire line in the park is Main St to the Castle! But I think they're right to leave this one open, better for that castle photograph and allowing flow through this area, rather than the odd roundabout we used to have.

Sadly, there won't be any nice fountains in the middle of central plaza. I think that fountain in Hong Kong Disneyland is located in the Resort Hub. :)

Good to see Central Plaza back in its old glory! I still think the Partners Statue should be placed there, but I guess that would block the view of Dreams a bit.

...............I don't know what to say. It's been so long since I've seen this view, I'd forgotten what it looked like. Its just perfect. The only thing that's missing is Walt.

Imagineer Steve Davison was the one that took these photos, BTW! He seemed more excited than us! He said, "It's so much better without the stage. It blocked this amazing piece of architecture. WOW! What a castle!"

Wasn't there a flower bed in the middle? I guess it was the best not to rebuild that one, because of stupid guests climbing over the fences to watch Dreams.
